Picture this...
You walk in to a luxurious, open concept cabin, decked out in pink accents.
You soak in the hot tub to relax, dinner is steaks on the grill cooked by your spouse, while you sit by the fireplace cuddled up watching re-runs of Friends.

After dinner you have me time in the Steam Sauna then rinse off under a large rainfall shower. You wrap up in a waffle knit robe and sink into bed.

To say the least, this year has been a Rollercoaster.

Opening our doors during off season was a blessing and a curse. We were able to learn to become a self managing host slowly but that hefty mortgage was still knocking.

We offered the cabin to our friends and family at a fraction of the price just to learn the platforms instead of the alternative sink or swim type of approach.

Looking back I'm so glad we did this. We actually ran out of propane on one of our friend's stays. The instant panic I felt is something I won't forget!

We were caught off guard when not one but both of our AC units needed repairs. With a new home and new units we were definitely not prepared for this.

We learned building relationships with other buisness owners will come in clutch.

We learned sometimes you have to set rules for the buisness you didn't intend on placing just to protect your asset.

We figured out that setting our prices to low was not an option. The price to run this place for one night is unreal!

Teaching our guests how to work the hot tub when we didn't even really know how to work it. YouTube came in handy on that one.

We earned the badge of Superhost pretty quickly which came with a much needed confidence boost that maybe we are doing something right.

When we went out of town for vacation learning to leave our buisness in someone else's hands was a HUGE challenge. Trusting someone else to run your business is unbelievably hard.

Through the ups and downs being able to have a place for you and your family to come and make memories brings us such joy! This is what we love to do! So thank you for supporting us!

It's been one year with Blushed and Bougie. I am blessed we've made it this far and we are excited to continue to host for many more years!
