Akaka’s congregation during the historic march from Selma to Montgomery, Dr. King exemplified the spirit of diversity. 🤝🌈 Reflecting on the speech he gave in Hawaii; he envisioned one face—the face of the future. 🌍🤲🏾Honoring this legacy, I celebrate the power of unity and the transformative journey of travel. 🌴💖

👑 Dr. King’s impact reaches far beyond Hawaii’s shores. As a pivotal figure in the American Civil Rights Movement, he tirelessly advocated for racial equality, justice, and unity. As the sun set on 2023, I found myself on the beach for most of the evening, surrounded by the warm sand spelling out “Hawaii 2024.”

🌅 Now, as the island’s fireworks illuminate the night, I realize I won’t make it to midnight. I need my earplugs because it’s pretty loud outside.

As they returned home earlier this week, I felt a bit saddened since I’ve been in touch with Ms. Tiffany for over a month regarding her travels.🫶🏾
