Welcome to Sandbar Cottages on Big Platte Lake hosted by the Mushlock family. This consists of three cottages with direct beachfront access and enjoyment of Big Platte Lake. Big Platte Lake is nestled in the heart of the Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore area and is exceptionally shallow, warm and sandy. Each cottage is steps away from the lake and offers lovely lake views.

The Beach House Cottage is closest to the waterfront and has two bedrooms. One bedroom is outfitted with two twin beds, the master bedroom consists of a full bed and the living room has a pull out sofa. This cottage sleeps six people. There is a fully functional kitchen and one bathroom.

The Road House Cottage is situated further away from the shoreline and offers lovely views and access to Big Platte Lake. This two bedroom cottage is also furnished with two twin beds, and a master bedroom consisting of a full bed. The living room has a pull out sofa for additional sleeping. This cottage sleeps six people. There is a fully functional kitchen and one bathroom.

The Big House Cottage boasts an open porch overlooking Big Plate Lake with lake access as well. The Big House has three bedrooms and sleeps 8 people. There is a king bedroom and a queen bedroom on the main level, a king bed and two twin beds in the upstairs level. There is a full bathroom and a fully functioning kitchen as well as a large comfortable living room in the Main Haus Cottage.

Each cottage is outfitted with a/c, heat, WiFi, Roku televisions, gas grills, linens, towels, pillows, and personal fire pits. The lakefront is a shared area between all of the cottages so we request that visitors are limited and courtesy be given to the other quests while enjoying the amenities. We will be offering Kayaks and other outdoor water toys for guest enjoyment. We are not able to provide motorized water vehicles for rent but you are welcome to bring yours along!

There is working laundry facilities on the premises and they are located in the basement of the Big House. Guests from all three cottages have access to the laundry facilities in the Big House.
