Copy of an email announcement from CCPPF Vendor Daniel Johnson's Monkey and Sloth Hangout regarding animal/sloth interactions. The original deadline was for June but is effective immediately. I am sure similar business will be issuing the same notices.

The Honduran government is no longer allowing visitors to hold/have contact with the sloths/animals. While I understand this is disappointing to many, it is my personal opinion that this is a good decision for the animals while at the same time understanding this will have an impact on the small businesses who have been offering this attraction, including many of our participating CCPPF Vendors in Roatán.

I hope that our members will continue to book these amazing experiences even though you will not be able to actually hold the animals. Also, please remember that these small businesses rely on your tourist dollars to feed, shelter & care for the animals and hopefully our members will not be canceling their upcoming reservations.
