“We can get the man,
But we never get a Mason until
We get to his spirit”

The creations of the world

take on the spirit of their creators. Masons should possess the spirit of “The Great Architect of the Universe.” Very simply put, the objective of Masonic travels should be to:

--Obtain the spirit of God.
--Maintain the spirit of God.
--Share the spirit of God. ADMONITION According to the ethics of Freemasonry it is made a duty obligatory upon every. member to conceal the faults of a Brother, and to admonish him of them in private. (See Eccles. 12:12; Acts 27:9-10; Rom. 15:14-16; 2 Thess. 3:15.) ARTS, PARTS, POINTS. A MASONIC PHRASE. Arts means knowledge, science, light, etc.; Parts the Degrees; and Points the laws, rules and usages. OLD MASONIC LECTURES were divided into sections and these sections into parts. THE WORD POINTS comes from the Old Masonic Charges in which there were “fifteen articles” and “fifteen points”. The Articles are laws for the regulation of the Craft and the Points for the government of the individual Mason. CARDINAL VIRTUES. TEMPERANCE was called by early Masons the “guttural point”, referring to the throat. Temperance teaches us to stand in awe of the Presence of God within us. Efficiency is the
measure of Temperance; how much to eat, to drink, etc.., to obtain physical efficiency. (Eph 5:18; Acts 24;25; Gal. 5:22; 1 Cor. 9:25; 2 Pet. 1:5, 6; Tit. 1:7, 8; 2:2)
MEANING OF MASONRY. MASONRY IS BUILDING with durable materials, according to a well-conceived design. Eph. 2:20-22---We are built upon the foundation of the apostles, prophets, and Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone: in whom all parts of the building fitly framed together, and growth unto a holy temple in the Lord: in whom ye also are builders together for an habitation of God through the Spirit. ARCHITECT REQUIRED. Every building must have an architect, every design a designer, every creation a creator. (See Col. 2:6-10) The spirit of a thing should reflect its’ creator. TO OBTAIN A COPY:
