Our Story

Zan Ray and Tom Collins collectively have over 100 years of experience in the beauty industry, business coaching, small business management, financial and salon management. They are national speakers, authors and small business coaches, known as the go-to #PowerCouple in the small business community. Their book “Scared to Raise Your Prices?” is based on their signature presentation and program and will be published in early 2020. The book focuses on how salons and small business service providers can stay competitive in the marketplace while raising their prices.

Zan has been in the hair industry for 55+years; owned 4 successful salons; created the first apprenticeship program and was privileged to be the first Aveda Concept Salon in Austin, Texas. Her professional hairdressing career was focused on training her staff in the areas of Extreme Customer Care, hair cutting and hair coloring. Zan believes continuing education is a MUST!

Early on through hairdressing, Zan realized she had an innate intuition for helping others to become more of their authentic selves. Pursuing this gift, Zan became a student and studied with Anthony Robbins (Peak PerformanceCoach), Robert Kiyosaki (author of "RichDad Poor Dad") and Robert Pante'(International Image Consultant and author of "Dressing to Win"). As a coach, Zan's focus is working with salon owners, hairdressers and small services businesses to clarify, meet and exceed their goals, such as, revenue growth, new client acquisition, product sales, staying focused, maintaining clarity and most importantly, having personal fulfillment. Zan is a co-author of the international best-selling book, "40/40 Rules Vol. II".

Tom Collins is a financial coach for the beauty industry and small service businesses. Tom's passion and obsession are to educate hairdressers, salons and small business owners on how to manage, increase and protect their income. Tom has trained with Brendon Burchard, (High Performance and Business Coach), Tony Robbins, Jay Abraham (Expert Business Coach) and Keith Cunningham (author of “The Road Less Stupid”). Tom brings this education and training to the beauty industry and small services businesses. A critical part of this education is protecting their families against the loss of income due to accident or illness and building a legacy of wealth for personal freedom.

Tom's dad was a barber and Tom was raised in the hair and service industry! He knows, first-hand, the long hours required and how hard barbers, hairdressers, and small service providers work to earn a living and support their loved ones.

Tom is a registered professional engineer, licensed insurance agent and applies 50+ years of a successful project and financial management experience developing financial freedom plans for professionals and business owners. Plans include current cash flow management, debt reduction analysis as well as estate

planning and business exit strategies.
