Glenda's Pottery & Tie-Dye

Glenda's Pottery & Tie-Dye My goal is to create functional Tie-Dye clothing. Pottery has interested me since I was in the third grade. In high school, I took pottery classes from Mr. Enos.

I won a national contest with a vase that I made out of clay when I was in Blue Birds. I became his teacher's assistant later. When I was a sophomore, I started taking pottery classes at College of the Redwoods. I continued taking night classes and summer classes all through high school. When I finished high school I continued to take pottery and art classes at CR. By the time I graduate from CR I

had my own little business started. I sold my products at holiday fairs in Humboldt County. As the years went by I had five children, so I took quite a bit of time off while raising them. That is when I started my tie-dye business. My children loved helping me. I now work at Fortuna High School in the Life Skills class and do pottery and tie-dye in the evenings and on the weekends. I sell my items at Rustic West in Old Town Eureka, the Chamber of Commerce in Rio Dell, Rio Dell Pizza Factory, the Mateel Cooperative Arts Gallery in Garberville, and various craft fairs throughout the year.
