The feeling of an overwhelming heavy sensation was present from arrival till we left.

Discussion: Recently we met with a family that have some concerns.
Mother stays home and reports more activity than others in the family.
Mother states, the sounds of footsteps through living room, but not at any specific time of day.
Mother and one teenage child reports unusual sounds, noises and occasional voices.
Mother reports seeing shadows at night that are darker than the night.
Father agrees to hearing footsteps sometimes.
Father reports the feeling of not being alone a few times.
Mother reports seeing the shadows outside at night as well.
Things are being moved and found in places not used often.
Each family member has seen something that looks like a fast moving shadow at different times of the day and night.
A few family members report fatigue and severe headaches.
These things are all reported to happen at anytime of the day.
No history of mental illness or practice of witchcraft or black arts.
Family isn’t scared. But do seem a little concerned.
They do not want an investigation yet.

After succumbing to a fever of some sort in 1705, Irish woman Margorie McCall was hastily buried to prevent the spread of whatever had done her in. Margorie was buried with a valuable ring, which her husband had been unable to remove due to swelling. This made her an even better target for body snatchers, who could cash in on both the co**se and the ring.

The evening after Margorie was buried, before the soil had even settled, the grave-robbers showed up and started digging. Unable to pry the ring off the finger, they decided to cut the finger off. As soon as blood was drawn, Margorie awoke from her coma, sat straight up and screamed.

The fate of the grave-robbers remains unknown. One story says the men dropped dead on the spot, while another claims they fled and never returned to their chosen profession.

Margorie climbed out of the hole and made her way back to her home.

Her husband John, a doctor, was at home with the children when he heard a knock at the door. He told the children, “If your mother were still alive, I’d swear that was her knock.”

When he opened the door to find his wife standing there, dressed in her burial clothes, blood dripping from her finger but very much alive, he dropped dead to the floor. He was buried in the plot Margorie had vacated.

Margorie went on to re-marry and have several children. When she did finally die, she was returned to Shankill Cemetery in Lurgan, Ireland, where her gravestone still stands. It bears the inscription “Lived Once, Buried Twice.”

Looking forward to tonights investigation of a male entity seen at local business in Lawrence County. History on this building states the owner had a very faithful employee, that was thought very highly of and was trusted and treated like family. In 1897 the owner left on a business trip to buy more stock for the store and upon his return; found his faithful employee had passed in his sleep. The owner was devastated and sold his store the following year. In late 1898, the owner also sold his substantial home and moved to Chicago where he lived out the rest of his life with his family. Rumor has it, his faithful and loved employee was seen quite often in the store by patrons and passers by. Maybe he is still there......
We love gathering information on the history of places to investigate. Love listening to first hand accounts and stories carried through the generations.
