Breaking Walt Disney World and Disneyland News! ‼️

In the coming weeks, Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort will begin piloting a new service providing expedited entry to theme park attractions: Lightning Lane Premier Pass.

Lightning Lane Premier Pass will be offered in very limited quantities and will give guests one-time entry to each available Lightning Lane entrance in the theme park they are visiting that day. This includes attractions included in both Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass, but with Lightning Lane Premier Pass, guests do not need to select an experience time. Lightning Lane Premier Pass will be a premium offering, and prices will vary based on the date and theme park guests are visiting.

At Disneyland Resort, the Lightning Lane Premier Pass will be available October 23, 2024.

At Walt Disney World, when Lightning Lane Premier Pass launches, it will be available to guests staying at Disney Deluxe or Deluxe Villa Resorts and may be purchased up to seven days in advance of their stay. The first date it will be available is October 30, 2024.

HURRICANE MILTON UPDATE: 🌀

Walt Disney World Theme Parks

On Wednesday, October 9, our theme parks and Disney Springs will be closed in phases beginning at 1:00 PM.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park will close at 1:00 PM
Magic Kingdom park, EPCOT and Disney Springs will close at 2:00 PM.

It is likely the theme parks will remain closed on Thursday, October 10. We will consider opening Disney Springs on Thursday in the late afternoon, with limited offerings.

This includes the cancellation of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom park on Thursday, October 10. Event tickets will be refunded.

Disney Resort Hotel Closures

Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and the Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa will temporarily close beginning at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 9. They are likely to remain closed until Sunday, October 13.

Transportation

Walt Disney World Transportation will stop operating on Wednesday, October 9 after Disney Springs and the Walt Disney World theme parks close.

Limited Minnie Van and Mears taxi service will be available to Walt Disney World Resort Guests.

Recreation

Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park, Winter Summerland Miniature Golf and Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf will be closed on Wednesday, October 9. Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park remains closed for planned refurbishment.

There are no events planned for ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex until the weekend.

Reservations for Dining and Other Experiences

Effective immediately, we will not enforce cancellation policies until further notice for dining and other experiences.

Prepaid bookable experiences will be automatically refunded within 7 to 10 business days.

As of July 24, Walt Disney World guests can arrange details of their vacation experiences prior to arrival - with Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass!

I am thrilled to share this exciting change for on site Disney Resort guests - who will now be able to book Lightning Lane selections 7 days prior to check in for their length of stay!

Happy Birthday to the most selfless person. She is always putting her family and friends before herself. She will always be there for anyone, she shows up and she keeps showing up no matter what. She is the best Nana, daughter, sister, niece, aunt, cousin, friend, cheerleader, Physical Therapist, nurse, doctor, caregiver, cook and most of all mom. She never gives up on those that mean the most to her, and there will never be enough “Thank Yous” for everything she has done and continues to do for everyone. We love you and hope you have had an amazing birthday surrounded by the people that are lucky enough to have you in their lives. At the beginning of January 2025 I will be running the 5K during the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend. I will be running as a part of Dougie’s Team through the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism. As many of you know my son Reilly is on the autism spectrum so raising any funds that support resources for children and young adults on the spectrum or are Neurodiverse is near and dear to me.

In January I will be running my first 5k as a part of the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend! I will be running as a part of Dougie's Team for Autism started by Doug Flutie (Go Bills) in honor of my amazing son, Reilly.

He was officially diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder in June 2023. Have I ran a 5k before? No. Have I ran in the past 15+ years? No. Will I get a good time? No. But will I finish the race? Yes. It is important for me to show my son, that even though I can't do something the same way as somebody else, that I can still do it.

Consider helping me reach my fundraising goal to show any child who might learn differently that they can achieve anything in life with hard work and heart. 💜
