Our newly remodeled cabin sits slightly above the Little Manistee River, with a sloping backyard that's perfect for riverside campfires, yard games, fishing, kayaking, or just sitting and listening to the water flow. You can even sit on the back deck and watch the Steelhead swim by. We're centrally located in one of Michigan's premier outdoor lover's regions. Just a short drive to Ludington, Cadil

lac, Baldwin, and Manistee. You can even day trip to Traverse City and The Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.

One of the best parts of opening our cabin to others is to read about their favorite activities, the nature they saw, and how the R&R affected them. It’s not uncommon to read poetry in our guestbooks and its a little treasure for us to watch the river and ponder on the words left behind.

Gods creation has a way of moving the Spirit and sometimes it takes a little riverside cabin in the woods to slow us down long enough to notice.

Found this trail of tracks interceding with a deer trail on a nearby lake. There’s just something about paw prints in the snow. ❄️ ❤️ But the question is… who’s paws? House cat or bobcat? 🧐 🤷🏻‍♀️

Bird watching in the back yard was 🔥 this weekend. These 🦅 drug a salmon carcass out of the river and feasted on it for a couple of days while we enjoyed the show from the kitchen window. Hows that for an epic dining experience?

There are several hundred continuous off-road miles which can be hiked right here within the Manistee National Forest and northward.

Another wet and chilly weekend....but there's no bad time to be at the cabin. Thanks to the sandy soil, the trails were in pretty great shape last weekend. Still some openings for November to hit the trails yourself!
