With peak travel season approaching, we can expect to observe an increase in travel costs. The flight deals I post involve me searching for the most affordable flights and creating packages including those flights. Quite a few of these deals include flights aboard budget airlines, i.e., spirit and frontier. A lot of people, unlike myself, take issue with traveling with these airlines. Here are a few tips that will help ensure you have a smooth experience:

✈️ Purchase your ticket at the airport counter if possible. You’ll save money.

✈️ When purchasing tickets online, purchase your bags simultaneously. They will be cheaper. Whatever you do, don’t purchase them at the airport. They will cost more.

✈️ A checked bag is cheaper than a carry-on but a carry-on doesn’t require you to spend time checking a bag or waiting at baggage claim.

✈️ For a personal bag, carry a backpack... more space.

✈️ Always select self check-in. You will be charged $10 if an agent checks you in.

✈️ Bring your own snacks. Snacks are not provided.

✈️ BE FLEXIBLE. This applies to all airlines. Flexibility allows you to take advantage of the best rates. What does flexibility look like? Departing on a Tuesday instead of a Friday or departing at 8PM vs 12PM. This is how I purchased a $44 roundtrip flight from Florida to San Diego. I understand this may not be feasible for everyone.

So I know most of you, like myself, are suffering from the travel blues, and you’re trying your best to cope!! I feel you!! We’re in this together. Though I may be a tad bit late, I have found the motivation to start back creating blog posts detailing my travels.
