Check out this Iuka event hosted by The Apron Museum, walking distance from Historic Downtown King Lofts π
What memories spring to your mind if we bring up...
Breaking beans...
Shucking corn...
That special Sunday food your grandma knew was your favorite...
An ice cream cone you had to hurry on before it melted...
Not enough coffee...
Way too much wine...
Feeling the warmth of soup or stew settle in your belly and bring you back to life on a winter's day...
Food is more than nourishment for the body. Food and drink carry an enormous emotional connection to the moments in our lives that are the most communal... and the most solitary. A simple whiff of a dish can bring with it weighty recollections of people, places, and points in time that define who we are.
Tishomingo Arts Council, The Crossroads Poetry Project & Cats After Dark - Poet Society invite you to explore your own emotional connections through food with our Food Poetry Competition 2023 :)
Adult Awards:
1st Place- $100 / 2nd Place - $50 / 3rd Place - $25 / 4th Place - $25
