Our IT people/email provider lost their internet and backup internet during and after the hurricane until mid morning today. If anyone sent emails to any of us at Eagle Pools during that time period, we did not receive that email nor will we receive that email. We also are still unable to receive phone messages at this time. We will be in the office tomorrow to reevaluate everything.

We have no internet or phone at our office. We have no power at our home. Our email is not working. We will check our voicemail and emails as soon as we can get everything up and running again. We hope all of our customers weathered the storm okay.

We love our electrician, who just happens to be the FSPA's Person of the Year! Here's an excerpt out of the Splash newsletter:

Person of the Year: David Pruette

In December, the FSPA Chapter presidents selected a "Person of the Year" for the Florida Swimming Pool Association. It is based on the individual effort and effectiveness of the individual in providing the FSPA with leadership, commitment and service.

David Pruette is recognized as the 2016 Person of the Year. David is an electrical contractor who has assisted the association in navigating recent challenges made to the swimming pool contractor scope of work. His comprehensive understanding of pools and the electrical components has been an invaluable resource to Jennifer Hatfield and the workgroup FSPA established to address this issue, as they drafted language for the Construction Industry Licensing Board to consider which would allow pool contractors to continue work they are tested on and trained to complete. His knowledge and expertise has provided field based information without which we would not have made the great progress on this critical issue.

We hope everyone in our area is staying safe during the storm. Due to Hurricane Matthew we will have limited service to our weekly customers. We have tried to make it to all of our customers, but some of you may not receive service this week. As you understand, we do not want to endanger our pool techs or be on the roads during hazardous conditions. We will try to get everyone back in order after the hurricane has subsided. One of the things that we do ask of our customers is that they take care of draining their own pool, especially in hurricane situations. We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause but we thank you for understanding. Please be safe during this time and we pray for the protection of you and your family.
