I am excited to tell you there are only 8 days until the first day of advent but, you can begin advent at any time. The goal of advent is to get you to slow down and reflect on the birth of Christ. There are SO MANY resources out there. A Bible study is a good way to enjoy advent - has a wonderful bible study! You can enjoy learning about the birth of Christ all month with . How about preparing for Christ's birth with your kids by doing for others with . You can also celebrate advent with a traditional advent calendar. There are a ton of advent calendars out there but if you are looking for something to help you slow down and enjoy your family with scripture and prayer, is a great choice. The good news is you don't have to just choose one thing to do - you can do a combination of things. Whatever you do, be sure to take some time to prepare so your not rushing around last minute!

There are days I just feel defeated and yesterday was one of those days. As I watched my children board the bus, I was reminded of "My Why". I work hard everyday to glorify God and provide for my family.
Am I perfect? No.
Do I make mistakes? Yes.
Does God's grace cover a multitude of sins? YES!
Even though I do not get it right everyday, I can stand tall knowing no matter what, God is there for me. He loves me and will provide for me. I work hard everyday to do the same for my children. If you are having one of those days, just remember, God is there for you - no matter what!

16 days until advent! Do we have to wait until advent to show others love by doing random acts of kindness? I would hope not! Today is a good day to get out there and give back. How about helping rake someones leaves? Or offer to take someones children out for a couple hours so their parents can have some time together to just relax? Just a thought.
