Deep Ocean...the final frontier ...to boldly go where no respectable diver would go... and hopefully come back with 60-80 percent of the original crew....

Under the strict supervision of our overlord Captain Buff Diver, we provide the peasants with black water, blue water, red water, and even yellow water diving!...nobody dives like us and thats probably a good thing...our motto is "If you're looking for a dive buddy you're on the wrong boat"...

Hope to see some friends at the Ocean Defenders Alliance Fundraiser tomorrow (Sat) at the Kona Wine Market. I'll have both metal and paper prints in the silent auction. There's also a reception tomorrow from 1-3 at the Firehouse Gallery in Waimea, opening the new show there. I have one print in that show.

I have tried all day to find a photo of the woman who changed my life in so many ways. In 1987, she was on the board who hired me to teach in Granite Bay. And she entrusted me with her own 6th grader, Jolie Taylor. Teaching in the district where she led the school board was the most important part of my career. Then, I was able to work with her oldest daughter at Olympus Junior High. My relationship with Nicole has survived my retirement and relocation to Hawaii. And through FaceBook, I have stayed in touch with Jolie as she grew up, became a teacher, and brought four amazing new lives into this world. I grieve the loss of Reve Taylor today. But I am so thankful for her legacy. She left behind seven amazing grandchildren, three beautiful children, and a school district that was enriched by her wisdom, her humor, and her dedication to children - hers and everyone elses. RIP Reve. I am so grateful to have known you.
