If you've followed me for very long, you know just how much I treasure my kids. The time has come for all of them to head to college, and the next two weeks will be filled with proud and bittersweet moments as my husband and I help take them on their next adventures. I'll be driving through several states and leaving pieces of my heart in each of them, so if I'm a little harder to reach, I hope you'll understand. On our recent trip to Florida, we tried something new. The FL Visitor Toll Pass is a hang tag for your rental car, and allows you to access the pass through lanes at the toll booths. There is a kiosk on the ground floor of the airport, and it was easy to return the hang tag right after we dropped off the car, before even entering the terminal. There was a $10 charge, then the toll fees themselves. Much easier and cheaper than pre-paying through the rental car company!

Dinner was at Jaleo, by Chef Jose Andres, then drinks at Jock Lindsay’s Hangar Bar, and now we’re ready to see “Drawn to Life,” the Cirque de Soleil show designed especially for Disney. It’s been a great date night so far, and I’m really excited to see the show!

In Santorini, we had a great lunch where we were able to throw plates and dance on the broken shards. My kids were some of the only ones who did the actual Greek dance and got a huge response from the crowd! What do you think? Did they do a good job?

The last stop of our stay in Rome was at the Colosseum. This video, taken from the second floor, shows the walkways under the main floor of the arena, where the gladiators and animals would be raised up through trap doors on a pulley system. It’s amazing to see how they accomplished so much with little technology as we know it today.

We toured the Vatican today, and this video is from the map museum. Each panel is a different area of Italy, painted in the 1580s. It was room after room of amazing artwork like this, culminating in the Sistine Chapel, where photographs are prohibited.

It’s our only day at sea, so we spent the day by the pool and riding The Wave, Viva’s only waterslide. Tonight, we’ll enjoy a production of the Broadway show, “Beetlejuice.” I’m really excited for that!

We are at Santorini today. Although the weather is not exactly what we were hoping for, I’m sure it will be a great day anyway! Check out my video below of the island and you’ll see a tender boat. Have you ever taken a tender boat before? Which port were you at?
