Allan hopes that you enjoy each of his unique and exuberant interpretations and designs. Palette knife is a blunt tool with a flexible steel blade used for mixing or applying paint. Best used to manipulate thicker paint, textures of many kind are created with specific parts of the knife’s blade. What is impasto? Impasto is an Art term used to describe a thickly textured application of paint. Artists often used an impasto technique to create expressive and/or a three-dimensional paint strokes.
