One of the services I provide as TA: I always grab promotions, even if they drop after the client has booked. Today marks the best Disney promotion since COVID. It's a 2025 promotion.... and I have multiple clients traveling between February and May who saved thousands of dollars today. No joke. It's always a happy email. :)

I just finished a package for two retired couples going on a Princess Cruise Line Cruise-Tour.

They fly into Anchorage and are starting their adventure with a land tour into Denali National Park. They will then take a Southbound cruise of Alaska’s Inside Passage to Vancouver.

Since these are loyal clients who have trusted in me to book multiple trips through the years, I’ve also gifted them airport lounge passes. Bon Voyage!!!!

The Girl Scout group that is currently road tripping through Alaska is having the best weather. Yesterday, they got a clear view of Denali (formerly referred to as Mt. McKinley) from the cute town of Talkeetna. This is a photo they were able to take with the mountain in the background. Today, they continue up the road to Denali National Park. Wow.

Years ago, I learned that happiness with your career isn't so much about your "job title, " or the perceived idea of what your job is, but it is in the satisfaction of the daily tasks.

Many people think that as a travel agent / advisor (same thing), I just have to love travel - that my job is to travel and book trips. Don't get me wrong, I do love to travel, and technically, I do book trips. BUT... it's mostly my staring at my computer in my dank basement office in Ohio planning, researching, obsessing over, and anticipating ALL of the the logistical details of clients' travels while also *trying* to anticipate all of their needs, wants, as well as potential pitfalls.... It's all the t's and i's. It's laboriously scouring reviews. It's detail-driven planning. It's the knowing where to look, who to ask the questions, the connections, the network of travel professionals, suppliers, etc... that comes with 10+ years in the industry. It's knowing what is out there and matching people with the right adventure. Yes, I love all of that! Of course, I’ve also added a level of awareness and conscious traveling, the traveling for good component, that also makes me proud of what I do. All who know me, know how detail-oriented and obsessive I can be. 😬

And sure.. you can go online and book stuff on your own, but… you don't have me. (The commission is already worked into cost, whether you use a travel agent/advisor or not.)

Currently, Xcaret has 3 resorts, and this trip we stayed at Hotel Xcaret Mexico, the family resort. The resort itself is beautiful with a variety of onsite inclusions - restaurants with delicious food, drinks, entertainment options, and the resort has so many hidden gems, walkways, and quiet nooks. Chichen Itza, world heritage site and one of the 7 wonders. A full day tour that also included, food, beverages, a cenote swim, lunch and meandering the city of Valladolid, Mexico.

Not in the Xcaret complex, but included in the stay at the resort… and well worth the day!!! Xel-ha! Beautiful!!!!

Xenses is truly one of the quirkiest and weirdest places I’ve been… even a second time.. It’s a fabricated park located a bike ride or quick shuttle from the resorts. It was designed to put your senses to the test, and boy does it do that… whimsical, quirky, and weird. You find yourself constantly asking, “What is this place?” For anyone who knows her, it is no surprise that this is a big contender for my daughter’s favorite. Even the silly photos don’t give much away. Would I pay to go to Xenses if I were in the Playa Del Carmen area? Probably not. Is it worth your time since it is yet another inclusion with a stay at the resort? Don’t miss it!!! Seriously. Xplor, Xcaret’s adventure park, is a bike ride or shuttle from the resorts. Zipline high above the jungle canopy. Drive an ATV through a jungle path that takes you over bridges amd through the caves. Brave the subterranean expedition, paddle raft, and/or river swim. Don’t get me started on that water slide…. And there’s more.
