Pirate's Life Vacations I believe that the more sustainable a travel experience is, the more unique and authentic it will be. Some people may refer to me as a Walt Disney World nerd.

That may be true, but those same people may also be found pushing through hordes of people and waiting and waiting in those notorious, looooong and not-so-magical lines. I have had an inordinate number of inquiries for Greece for late spring and summer 2025 - off-the-beaten-path as well as the typical tourist itineraries. I'm here for all of it!

Although the off-the-beaten-path adventures are so much more work, these are the trips get me jazzed!!! I love finding those special locations and tucked away accommodations.

Not in the Xcaret complex, but included in the stay at the resort… and well worth the day!!! Xel-ha! Beautiful!!!!

Xenses is truly one of the quirkiest and weirdest places I’ve been… even a second time.. It’s a fabricated park located a bike ride or quick shuttle from the resorts. It was designed to put your senses to the test, and boy does it do that… whimsical, quirky, and weird. You find yourself constantly asking, “What is this place?” For anyone who knows her, it is no surprise that this is a big contender for my daughter’s favorite. Even the silly photos don’t give much away. Would I pay to go to Xenses if I were in the Playa Del Carmen area? Probably not. Is it worth your time since it is yet another inclusion with a stay at the resort? Don’t miss it!!! Seriously. It only takes a few hours to go through, and it’s an experience…. #bestfamilyvacation #mexico #xenses #pirateslifevacations

Xplor, Xcaret’s adventure park, is a bike ride or shuttle from the resorts. Zipline high above the jungle canopy. Drive an ATV through a jungle path that takes you over bridges amd through the caves. Brave the subterranean expedition, paddle raft, and/or river swim. Don’t get me started on that water slide…. And there’s more.
