After a nasty windstorm and pouring rain over night we got a sun break and finished the deck framing, installed the seamless gutters, started staining our siding and finished getting our solar panels connected to the batteries.

While the Guys were getting the plumbing going John, Max and I got to work doing something I have waited 3 years several moves many miles and lots of figuring out to make happen. Thanks to my good friend Kent Brooten we officially are running out rough sawn boards thru our planer and producing finished tounge and groove cedar for all of our siding.

It's a great day here at Dall Bay Lodge the A team arrived and got right to work ruffing in our plumbing, it's a true blessing to have a son in law like Mathew who is always ready to help with whatever adventure we are on, and it's easy to see where he gets it from when his Dad heard what was going on he was eager to jump in and help, and it's fun to see Gary doing what he trained 3 years for.

The new power grid is coming together, we installed the rest of our 30, 500 watt solar panels hooked up all twelve of our 100 ah server rack batteries and started configuring our 2 18kw inverters that will provide continuous power for our lodge and cabins. Everyday we are getting closer to welcoming everyone up to Dall Bay Lodge.

Made another trip to town to pickup up more equipment to keep this project going. We now have our 4 sided planer to make the tongue and groove and shiplap for our finishings, we also picked up our new Spray foam machine and the rest of our solar equipment and plumbing supplies. One load closer to getting done.

We have had another few good days. It has been freezing which has solidified the mud so I have been clearing and burning to get ready to start our boardwalk, while the guys have been framing interior walls getting ready for plumbing and electrical to go in. We also finished framing and sheeting the solar/generator room installed the roofing and started stacking batteries getting ready to move everything over to its permanent location.

It's the little things that sometimes are the biggest game changer, getting our new automatic deisel generator hooked up and powering everything is one of those moments, we now have our solar and generator working together, so anytime our batteries get low the generator automatically kicks on runs everything and charges the batteries and when they are full it automatically shuts itself off. Now we need to finish the power shed so we can install the rest of our batteries and add the additional 13 solar panels to finish our array.

Not many pictures today but it was a milestone day our new generator is sitting in it's new home. We should be able to get everything hooked up and plumbed in and be operational tomorrow.

Today started off with thawing dock lines so we could untie the boat then the barge, so we could make a trip to town to pickup up our new generator, 🙂 the water was still to rough to take our second barge but we made a good run with our main barge and picked up a much needed load of materials. John and Max stayed back and accomplished a lot on the new power shed and got it ready to finish in the morning so we can set up the new generator. We got back in the dark so no pictures of the shed but it's looking great.

Not a bad day today we are getting ready for our new generator and solar equipment and the new shed for all of it is coming along nicely.

Well today didn't go as planned, the water was too rough to take the barge to town to pickup our new permanent deisel generator and the remaining solar equipment, so we buckled down here and John and Max installed the windows and house wrap on the new wing and Gary and I milled the lumber for the new generator/solar shed so we can get it built tomorrow, it was cold and wet but we have the best crew that just gets it done regardless.
