❤️💛💙💚 Autism Safety Project

The purpose of this project is to have officers trained to identify contacts they have with persons on the Autism Spectrum. These decals can be placed in the rear window of vehicles where an individual with Autism typically rides.

These decals are only for people who have "immediate" family members on the Autism Spectrum and may actively be transporting them. To obtain one, you can come by Kilgore Police Department and fill out an application, and when approved, they will receive their decal.

Meet our 2024 Juneteenth Queen,
👑Makayla Smith👑

MaKayla is a Senior at Kilgore High School where she serves as a member of FFA (Future Farmers Association), and AASA (African American Student Alliance) and has been inducted into the National Honor Society. She is active in cheer and is in the volleyball team.

With honors, such as this years’s Graduating Class Salutatorian and plans to pursue Veterinary Medicine this fall, we celebrate all that Makayla has accomplished.

We are so proud of Makayla👏🏾

Makayla will be crowned at the KLF Black Tie Gala on March 2, 2024. If you would like to hear what Juneteenth means to Makayla, please reach out for tickets to the event.
