It's International Civil Aviation Day! We've worked with some of the biggest names in aviation, and we love having things around the office that remind us to, sometimes, keep our heads in the clouds. (Star Wars ships definitely count as aviation)

We had a great time last week at Workshops for Warriors job fair.
Workshops for Warriors' mission is to provide quality training, accredited STEM educational programs, and opportunities to earn third party nationally recognized credentials to enable veterans, transitioning service members, and other students to be successfully trained and placed in their chosen advanced manufacturing career field.
We're excited to grow the relationship we've built to continue offering veterans the next step in their careers.

It's National Recycling Day, so here's one of the ways Ascentec recycles in our production process.
After the precise cutting and shaping of parts, left over metal shavings are collected and instead of throwing them away, we recycle them into little metal pucks that can be reused or resold.

We're looking for Quality Technicians to join our Tualatin and Dallas teams. This role is detailed oriented and is focused on maintaining consistent quality standards in our parts for clients in the aerospace, defense, and semiconductor industries.
We're looking for potential team members who have:
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret internal and customer provided mechanical prints including GD&T.
- Experience with a wide variety of metrology equipment including CMM, Optical comparator, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, etc. required.
- Experience with manual and/or automated CMM preferred (including formatting of CMM reports)

Who doesn't like Mando and Baby Yoda?
Our Mandalorian scarecrow went up this weekend in downtown Dallas. If you like the theme, come stop by our hiring party event this weekend to get pictures taken with a real-life Mandalorian and other Star Wars characters in person. Bring family and friends this Saturday, October 15, from 10am-2pm, for food, games, prizes, and Star Wars!
