The farrier came early (missing pics)
and everyone got some extra "treats" (aka pellet wormer)
Of course cool water 💦 was the favorite and a little donkey 🫏 sunbathing!

Fashion day and try-ons at the farm.
COld COLD weather coming (for south Texas) and the horses needed to pull their blankets (I cal them jackets) out of storage.

Everyone had fun trying on,
in preparation for Sunday!

The donkeys you ask???? Well, they said
"Jackets, we don't need no stinkin jackets!"

And one kid having fun in the mud....

Good days at the farm.

Now to wrap the pipes - and pull the generator over to the house in case power goes out.

Starting the Great Donkey Move Project. We want to give the 3 amigos more space but not the whole pasture. We will be moving them to half of the front part of the paddock area. Today our awesome neighbors M&M loaned us (AND MOVED FOR US!) some more panels so we can keep everyone in their space. The horses and donkeys were quite interested. Taking a break now thanks to the GLORIOUS RAIN!

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted ANYTHING about our wonderful little Donkey baby. Snickers (his official name), Aka: Little Man and Parrotfish. Today he was feeling his oats and being a little TOO frisky running around and trying to kick -🤔

⏰Time for a slight attitude adjustment with some halter and lead training and foot picking without the company of his momma (she was quite relieved to have a break I think!).

The little one (still yet to be named, but is a boy) was one week old yesterday and he is thriving! He has had MANY visitors this week and more to come next week. Everyone is doing well! Mamma and baby are happy.

BIG (or little) NEWS today at the Sunday House farm!We thought there MIGHT be a good chance Sprinkles was “with child”. She was showing all the tell tale signs. Last night at some point she brought this little one into the world. Mamma and baby are both well and happy! (Don’t know if it’s a boy or girl and haven’t named this sweetie yet)

We’ve had a lot going on here and I’ve just been forgetting to post about all the happenings. Cody got a good report from Dr. Ball and has moved from a cloud boot to a wedge shoe. He’s feeling good. 🐴. Still paddock resting. No pasture time. But lots of TLC.

The donkeys are progressing nicely. I’ve gotten the halter on each of them a couple of times without much consternation or concern from them. They enjoy brushings regularly too which is good. We are trying to progress to feet work as they’ll need trims sometime in the near future.

We’ve been enjoying having our friends Gypsy and Tito here for a stay. HoneyBuns loves the pasture company! 🐎

And my favorite part was getting to see my beloved son and his beautiful and awesome wife for my Birthday weekend along with
Ainsleigh and Nana too. 🎉🎂🥳

Ryan helped Phillip with some pasture work. Moving a bunch of unsightly metal and wood. Mikayla cooked me an awesome birthday dinner and we all just had a fantastic time …. Oh and I learned the card 🃏 game Nerts!
