What to pack in an older kids carry-on!
-Extra set of clothes in a wet/dry bag
- 2 Books to Read
- 2 Activity/Coloring Books
- Pencils/colored pencils to go with
- A few Toys (I tell my kids nothing TINY pieces) I don’t want to be searching the plane for some ity bitty piece or have a broken hearted kid if we cant find it.
- Head phones (with headphone jack if plane has screens on the back of seats)
- Tablet or electronic entertainment if no screens available on plane.
- Travel Blanket and Pillow (Not always a necessity this time we have a red-eye flight)
- Wallet (Decide if you trust your kid with their own or if you want to keep it safe)
-Snacks (I like to give my kids their own set of snacks to eat when they want so I don’t have to be asked repeated by each one when they want one.) I suggest things like Jerky sticks, granola bars, applesauce/yogurt pouches, dried fruit, fruit snacks or a favorite treat/candy, gum or suckers to help with ears popping.
