Our day in Ketchikan was awesome! I went on a duck boat tour which was a great way to see the city by land and be sea.
I spent the afternoon wandering the downtown area and got to see the infamous Street Creek. I wandered by a salmon ladder and hatchery before checking out the Totem Heritage Center. A must see when in town.
Our time in Alaska has been wonderful, but too fast. It is always bittersweet when a trip comes to an end.
We really enjoyed our day in Juneau. We kayaked and got an amazing view of the Mendenhall glacier. It was rainy and cold, but so worth it!
After our kayaking adventure, we went to a salmon bake and hiked to a waterfall.
Had to grab a drink at the Red Dog Saloon before heading back to the ship.
Skagway was our next stop. We started the day exploring downtown before boarding the White Pass Scenic railway. The views were amazing!
We spent the afternoon at a musher’s camp learning more about the sport and the Iditarod. We got to see the dogs in action and we even got to hold some of the puppies! Check out the cute picture I got of James with a puppy…then check out the picture he got of me. 😂
In the evening, we enjoyed dinner at Chartreuse, the French themed restaurant on the Explorer.
Our first stop was Sitka.
We spent the morning exploring on our own, enjoying the Totem Trail and the Sheldon Jackson museum. In the afternoon, we met up with a group for a hike in the Tongass National Forest.
Our first day on the Regent Seven Seas Explorer has been amazing.
We enjoyed lunch with a beautiful view before exploring the ship.
Loving our spacious room. We even have Occitane bath products. My favorite! 💜
After a Bon Voyage toast, we dined at Pacific Rim, one of the specialty dining restaurants.
Not a bad first day!
Spent the past few days exploring the landscapes of Anchorage, Talkeetna, Denali, and Fairbanks
-Talkeetna was charming. We lucked out and had a clear view of Denali! We also got to try Fireweed ice cream. It was delicious.
-Denali National Park is a must see in person. It is truly breathtaking.
Headed to Seward today to board the Seven Seas Explorer. Ready for our next adventure!
I will be out of the office to explore the stunning wilderness of Alaska from May 4th to May 19th!
