I’m very honored to be inlcuded in the “There is More Work to Be Done” George Ballis Legacy Exhibition and accompanying website, thereismoreworktobedone.com.
The exhibition is a celebration of the work and impact activist and photographer George “Elfie” Ballis (1925 - 2010) had in rural communities in America.
While there is a lot of great work being done to solve housing problems in rural communities, there is literally more work to be done. Please consider donating to a rural housing nonprofit in your area.

I'm not sure I've ever met a legitimate, real-life hero. Until this morning. James Shaw rushed, wrestled, and disarmed a shooter in a Waffle House restaurant, injuring himself in the process. The shooter killed four, terribly, but Mr. Shaw's actions stopped the gunman from moving further down the line. Such an honor to spend a few minutes with him.
