We went "mini viral" on TikTok about a month ago with 400,000 views. Obviously kind of exciting but the MOST exciting thing to come out of that is we are doing an AirBnB swap with the GROOVIEST AirBnB in the Midwest! Grandpa's Pool House!

Our family will be staying there next week. Eva (not my daughter Eva, Eva from Grandpa's Pool House) converted her Grandparents home into an AirBnB and I definitely knew about them before they knew about me. Check it out! 💗🥰

Grandpa’s Pool House is a vacation rental experience located just an hour north of the Twin Cities, in beautiful Stanchfield, Minnesota.

Good Morning ☀️

Just a little life update. I've fallen in love with making fringe lampshades. I have been making them primarily for friends and family, but I'm going to try to start selling them on Facebook and my Etsy store and anything custom you can dream up! 💡

Here are a handful I've done so far. Everyone is different from the next, and I hate to toot my own horn, but they come out so beautiful. 💗

Depending on size, they go from $30-$85. Stay tuned for possible ones for sale, or if you're looking to have one made, message me. 🙃

It's our first Halloween at Faye's Place! 🎃

We are just starting to decorate! Growing up, my family wasn't a Christmas family. We were a Halloween family. Especially, my Dad. So it felt wrong not to decorate.

It's a tribute to my mom to put out some of her Halloween ceramics she made for my dad on display, too.

We are a couple of months shy of our 2nd year inviting people to stay in my childhood home, and that means we are starting to get more and more people coming back. That is the biggest compliment. 💗

We have welcomed 150 different people and families in my little 2 bedroom, 1 bath, home. I was going to count how many dogs because their has been a lot! 🐾

If you don't know, our guestbook is postcards that guests can pick from, write a message, and hang it on a bulletin board. I have many takeaways from them, but I just wanted to share a few that seem to be repeated.

1. PEOPLE LIKE MY QUIRKY DECOR! The more time goes on and the more I add, the more compliments I get! I really have a newfound love for interior design and having to think outside the box to incorporate La Crosse, things I like, and people I love. There is a piece of so many people I know and love in the house, not just my parents. My husband, my kids, my uncles, my parents' friends, my grandparents, Jim, my mother-in-law, and my friends.

2. I have been actually astonished at the number of people staying at Faye's Place because they are here to see Dr. Erlandson for Lyme's Disease. I just know about the people who decide to share it, but it has made me more and more aware of the disease. It also comes full circle for me because someone mentioned above lived with it.

I got inspired to write this today because we had another repeat booking. I can't share that with my mom. I wouldn't be sharing it with her to get the affirmation she's proud of me. I would be sharing it for the shock value because NO WAY, she would believe that 150 people have come and gone, let alone people like staying in that house so much that they are coming back.

Thank you, everyone, for the support. It never goes unnoticed. 💗

If you haven't heard, I flew out to LA for The Simple Life taping and met Paris Hilton, all because of a TikTok. 💗

I replied to a TikTok of hers, talking about what The Simple Life meant to me. In summary, my mom, my dad, and I watched The Simple Life shortly before my dad passed, and I thought it was so exciting that my dad thought it was funny. Paris Hilton
was a big part of my life at that time. I religiously watched the next 4 seasons, dressed like her, talked like her, the whole sha-bang. She helped me a lot as a 13 year old girl.

Some of you reading this have no idea who I am. My life is very weird, and a lot of weird things happen to me, and my life tends to come full circle a lot. My husband also says I'm the most nostalgic person he knows. My 13 year old self is losing it, I'm sure. 😅

Anyway, my point is that a lot more Paris Hilton things will be popping up around Faye's Place. She deserves a spot in the house that built me. 💗

P.S my husband's celebrity crush was Paris and I think that's pretty full circle as well 😉

We had 5 guys in there 20's come stay with us a couple nights ago. They were coming from South Dakota to go to Noah's Ark.

Most of our guests are families or retirees so hosting 5 boys, I get sometimes worrisome.

Can I tell you all that they were the most MINDFUL, respectful men! They folded all their blankets nicely before leaving, make sure our gate didn't slam when coming and going and even addressed their postcard to our whole family.

Being pleasantly surprised by people is such a great thing, especially after a crappy day. 🥰

I went to a medium reading last week. Both my parents came "through". One of the things my mom mentioned was that she knows I pruned some of her flowers but I didn't take all of them out and that I planted some of my own a few weeks ago. The butterfly garden is about 50/50. Who isn't gardening this time of year though? 😅

We released 8 butterflies that we watched hatch yesterday, hopefully the make the garden their home. Thanks to my mom's friend (and my friend) Jane Schiroky for choosing all the flowers!

The gazebo (my parents always called it a screenhouse) is almost ready too ❤️🌼🦋
