RAK is raising money to get T shirts for Battered woman who are seeking help escaping their abusers.

The program offers brand new high quality shirts for $5 each
And they also match each short I purchase!!!
Instead of asking for donations we are trying something new!

Many families fall just short financially to get the help they need to allow their children a good start to the school year....

So to update everyone!
I've actually gotten ahold of the genius book of world records to see if I can get in it!
It's a silly subject to apply for but so far it hasn't been submitted lol

So I'm changing it to "40 people helping 40 people help me turn 40 and help 40 people 40 times
It's insane math but hey!!

so have you done the math ??
If I help 40 people 40 times ($25 each )
That's $40,000 to help those in need to celebrate turning 40...

I wonder how long it will take me to active this goal ?

I would like to add that if this is arson they find the person responsible and justice be served. I lost things that can't be replaced and will always leave a sad spot in my heart. Things keep getting harder for my family as my aunt the only one able to work due to my uncle's disabilities has lost her job because she worked in Kokomo that lived in Marion they lost one car in the fire and the other in a car accident just a few days after the fire when we had all the ice and snow. I know it's a financially tight time of year for all and appreciate any donations no matter how small, if God can feed thousands with 2 loaves of bread and 2 fishes he can surely do mighty things with your donations.

Just saw this post and HAD to share

Sometimes the smallest actions ......

" There is a lot of hate going on right now in our country and I have been trying to figure out what say. Everyone is saying what needs said, but it won't work unless we do what we say.

I just ran up the street to the gas station to grab some donuts for the kiddos. As I was walking up to the store, a mother and daughter were walking in right behind me. I held the door for them, smiled and said hello, and complimented on how pretty the little girl's dress was. I went over to the donut case, grabbed my 1/2 dozen donuts and proceed to the check out line. The mother and daughter were checking out ahead of me and the mother asked the clerk to add my donuts to her total. I said "that's not necessary." She replied, "well most people don't think it's necessary to engage complete strangers and compliment little girls on their dresses. You made my day and my daughters day with your kindness. God Bless you and keep making strangers feel your kindness." I teared up, hugged her and said "ditto, you just made my day too." Then the little girl hugged my leg and looked at me and said "I like you." We walked out went to our cars and with left each other with a smile.

This is what we need as a country. We can post all day long on Facebook and try to tell people how to think, but it's our real life actions with others and how we treat complete strangers is what will change people's minds.

Hoping I have 37 RAK buddies who will purchase just 1 $10 slice the price card for a low income family. I have 40 families ( 3 purchased already) - this will be in their goodie baskets the end of the month and if you've ever been tight on cash you know pizza is a treat and being able to get a free large pizza with every large pizza purchased should help a lot. Yes I know it's NOT a necessity but we've so had those days were either A. We don't feel like cooking or B just really have a craving for pizza or C have a child achieve something great and want to celebrate but on a rather tight budget.

Ok all I've been kind of quiet for awhile had some illness, medical issues and a few deaths in the family, so my apologies for not keeping the page up to date. .

RAK is still working in the community doing all we can, when we can.

Next big project is school supplies and backpacks.

I just wanted to let you know, the waitress Crystal that you requested was living in a shelter with her son until she was able to save up enough to get a place.
