Facebook tells me that people are viewing this page and if that has been you, I appreciate it. I will try to add some new pictures of some of the projects that are being completed very soon. It is another year and the phone has started to ring, several interesting project to get started on soon, one on the river in the flood plain, another using the insulated block forms filled with concrete and some interesting remodels as well. With over 35 years of drawing plans for homes, I've seen a lot but always up for a new challenge.

Hope this has started off as a good year for you as well. Feel free to add your thoughts and comments here.

Experts and the street both predict housing to stay strong in 2017. Since Designs At Work is dependant on new homes and remodeling work, I'm very happy to hear that. What are you seeing or predicting for this new year?

I enjoy what I do but sometimes you get to design some special things. Stopped by a couple of projects yesterday that are under construction and thought I'd share this remodel with you. The ranch style home was in pretty good shape but wasn't a really good fit for where is was. The finished product is much more in keeping with the surrounding homes and you'd never guess it's humble beginning.

Been an interesting year so far, usually slow this time of year but going full bore now. And it crosses over to all size homes. Anyone else seeing a tread?

Seeing a real upturn in work right now, not sure if it's just people getting ready for spring or what but I'm not going to complain. Would like to know what others are seeing.

As this year draws to a close, Designs At Work would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year. It's been a good year, ending a bit crazy but looking forward to beginning another.
