Update on Maui Wildfires and Road To Recovery: Due to a lack of Resources on the island including medical supplies, medication, tents, generators, food, water and electricity. Colin, Renae and Paradise Tours Maui is teaming up with local Maui residents and a team of pro surfers to give back to the local residents who lost everything during this tragedy. Due to current weather reports showing that Maui could potentially be hit by multiple tropical storms in the next two weeks, and time is of the essence, we have decided to open back up the go fund me for the time being, and we are so proud of of our team on the ground in Maui. The fires were an unspeakable tragedy, and for the residents of Maui that lost everything, there are no words that can help, but through the darkest of times the endurance of community and the resiliency of its people shine through.

Update: I was able to speak with Colin and Renae for the first time since the fires first started. They had informed me that Fema and the federal gov't is handling all the distribution of supplies and necessities moving forward. They both wanted to express that they are ok, and in as good of spirits as they can be. they also wanted to express their sincere gratitude to everyone who has reached out the past few days, and to everyone who showed their support through the go fund me donations, in just the few minutes we had to talk, Colin told me multiple stories of how much the groceries and essentials meant to the local Hawaii residents that they delivered them to, and the gratitude they had as well in these tough times. Out of respect and transparency, after Colin and Renae make their final supply run today and tomorrow, we will be posting all the itemized receipts to show that the donations went to the right place. Please continue to keep the people of Lahaina in your thoughts and prayers, as many have lost loved ones, as well as everything they own. Colin also informed me that it may take 3-6 months for power to be restored to the west side of the island. Though the worst of it may have passed, there is still a long road now to rebuild.
