It's cold and expensive out there. But summer WILL BE BACK and we're going to offer the cottage for rent again then. More and more guests are booking direct on our page through zelle and some are saving $hundreds$ instead of going to our AIRBNB and VRBO listing. Don't get me wrong, I like AIRBNB a lot, actually. It's been a great place for us to book stays and host guests. It's well organized and so helpful in showing guests our home and what we offer and screening what we don't. But it can all be costly. Booking direct is just another good option for those tightening the budget.

A short block or two from the Cottage on Clover in the Historic Maple District is a cemantary to those who served in the Civil War and where they rest today. It's a peaceful spot. The Underground Railroad has a connection to Lake Geneva that can be found online. There are lookout towers we have personally driven by in IL, and I wouldn't be surprised by what can be found in this beautiful area.
