Ravens Rest Cabin is conveniently located in the peaceful gated community of Riverbend, Lake Lure, NC Off the kitchen is a laundry room with WASHER and DRYER.

The kitchen is ideal for a group vacation, with tons of upper and lower cabinets, and ample granite counters for food preparation and serving. It features refrigerator freezer, dishwasher, electric stove and oven, microwave, toaster oven, DRIP AND KEURIG COFFEE MAKERS, plenty of cookware and utensils, and enough dishes and glasses for everyone. The formal dining area adjoins the kitchen making ser

ving meals a breeze. It has a table for six, the ideal place for dining, playing games, or just sitting to plan the next day's activities. If you prefer to dine outside, there is a full-length deck with table and chairs, GAS BARBEQUE and additional seating. The luxurious Master Suite has KING SIZE bed, two large nightstands with reading lamps, a huge 14 drawer dresser, walk in closet, dressing mirror, and ceiling fan. If you need to get some work done while on vacation, there is a small desk so you can work where it's quiet. The private Master Bath has full length vanity with two sinks and enough drawers for all your items at your home away from home. There's enough room for two people to get ready at the same time with a big counter and oversized mirror. Choose from a big soaking bathtub after hiking, or a quick shower if you're on the go. We provide thick white luxurious towels, and starter bathroom amenities in case you arrive late. The outside is a mountain paradise. In addition to the full-length deck, there is a FIRE PIT with chairs, ready to roast marshmallows and make lasting memories. The big level back yard is an ideal place for children to run around safely.

Thank you all for your support of Raven's Rest Cabin over the past several years. Unfortunately, Raven's Rest Cabin experienced significant damage during Hurricane Helene. We are busy planning our remodel, and look forward to re-opening in Spring 2025. Until then, thank you for your patronage and please come stay with us next year!

Beyond Asheville, which is only 40 minutes away, I would like to add a couple Lake Lure and Chimney Rock ideas for an epic Mother +Daughter itinerary;

1. Rent a SUP or kayak at Sunken Buffalo
2. Happy Hour at Grey Hawk Bar & Gardens
3. Ride Horses at Tryon International Equestrian Center & Resort
4. Visit a one of the seven acclaimed wineries in the Crest of the Blue Ridge wine region. Many feature live music, tours, and food trucks. Souther Williams Vineyard or Point Lookout Vineyards are my favorites.
5. Eat a leisurely Brunch at The Highlands Kitchen + Bar
6. Morning Hike to Hickory Nut Falls at Chimney Rock at Chimney Rock State Park

Did you know that Asheville has a Single-A baseball team? are in the Houston Astros farm system and it is such a great family value for our guests in the summertime. Built in 1924, McCormick Field has so much history that feels like museum, Babe Ruth. Lou Gehrig, and Jackie Robinson have played on it. It was in the movie "Bull Durham" too

PRO-tip: Every Friday night game, the Tourist do a firework show for the fans. Kids love it.

Tubin' on a summer afternoon is so groovy! Raven's Rest Cabin just bought these two new tubes and paddles for our guests to use and enjoy. You never have to leave Riverbend and it is 1/4 mile away from the cabin. PRO-TIP: Put in at the RB Nature Trail and Waterfall (near the RB beach) and go with the flow, under the bridge, and pull out at the RB Swimming Hole. It takes 20-40 minutes depending on water-flow and how much you paddle.
