It's game day here at the Olympic Center! The 2nd annual Adirondack Winter Invitational brought to you by the Golden Arrow kicks off at 4pm with UMASS LOWELL vs. ST. LAWERENCE and is followed by PROVIDENCE vs CLARKSON at 7:30pm in the Herb Brooks Arena!

Opening Day Information!
The wait is finally over and we're thrilled to be able to spin the lifts early and get everyone back on snow! What you need to know for THIS weekend ⏬

Whiteface opens tomorrow, November 15th for Season Passholders only! It's a ski & ride day dedicated to you, our season passholders. The Face Lift and Summit Quad will open at 10AM and last ride up the Face Lift at 3PM. Skiing will take place on the Summit Quad, and all skiers & riders will need to download on the Face Lift to return to the base area.

We anticipate Riva Ridge, Paron’s Run, Ilmar’s Alley, Excelsior, Lower Northway, and Summit Express will be groomed and open.

We open to the public Saturday, Nov. 16th & 17th! The Face Lift and Summit Quad will open at 9AM with the last chair up the Face Lift at 3PM and last up the Summit Quad at 3:30PM. All skiers and riders will need to download via the Face Lift.

Though snow conditions will be good for mid-November, the skiing is limited to advanced and expert trails only and includes early season hazards. Please be prepared to ski with caution. No beginner terrain will be open this weekend.

We will not be open during the week of Nov. 18. We will announce our re-opening plans ASAP.

Lastly, a special thanks to all of our staff for kicking it into overdrive this week to make an early opening happen 💪

We are holding a joint public comment period with the NYS Olympic Regional Development Authority to solicit comments for an amendment to the 1986 Mt Van Hoevenberg Intensive Use Area Unit Management Plan (UMP).

The public is invited to submit input through November 25 on a draft amendment for modernization and repair of facilities as well as construction of mountain biking trails and features at Mt Van Hoevenberg.
