WHO WE ARE:

Behind the Eye Organix is an idea that magic can be made in the mundane. Harnessing vibrations in music, crystals, and fragrances to allow energy to move in the body. Consciously cleansing, returning to daily ritual we can begin to recognize our divinity, and manifest abundant futures. WHERE I CAME FROM:

Some would say I stumbled into soaping by accident, and some would say there are

no such thing as accidents. Since I was young I’ve envisioned owning a company diverse in products and involved in the community. After high school I was assisting startups with their admin and marketing, all the while dreaming up avenues of my own. In 2011 I was able to organize a charitable family festival that brought some of those dreams to life. Feeling restricted within my conservative community, we moved our family from Kansas to Colorado in 2013. Working in corporate insurance I quickly realized that environment again was less than desirable. So I left the corporate world, and began searching for something that would speak to me on a deeper level. Aware of my search, a friend recommended I contact a metaphysical startup looking to establish wholesale accounts and trade show participation. It sounded like the ideal fit, applying my administrative skills to a company with values and products I could appreciate. As with any position, though enjoyable, I definitely thought there was room for improvement. The company had some challenges; but I absolutely loved their products and the creator. I found myself gaining greater connection with the stones, their applications, and just how far a little positive intention can go. The owner and the soap artist were pulled back to their home state. Swift changes were made to complete the previous chapter they had left. Creating a void here in Denver, I asked the soap artist if I could carry on their work and develop my own concoctions. He was of course welcome to the idea and I delved deep into research. Constantly inspired by the music scene, I started building themes around artists and what type of energy I felt from their music. As I split this concept into sectors and poured focus into each one resonating with a desired intention, an obvious reminder to life was illuminated. It is my hope that these soaps, (and perhaps someday bath bombs, and crystal home decor) can help you in daily cleansing; setting intention and letting go of what no longer serves you. The rest, as they say, is history......

Today I'd like to talk about failure.

Yesterday I went to a local shop and grabbed up some "lava rock" after requesting basalt to no avail. I've had this idea stirring for years now about a soap for with hints of Hawaii, that would attempt to compliment that indigenous spiritual growth his music holds. Inspired by the solstice I didn't want to wait anymore!

Sadly, in my rush I did not source the best quality gems; they were dyed and have me doubting if they're even volcanic. Compound that with a rushed and distracted creation process (attempting to entertain a less than happy toddler) the end result was not something I'd like to share with the world.

The fragrance doesn't encourage the feelings of warmth I'd hope for, and the general texture of the bar is off due to over heating and over mixing. Of course we are always our own worst critic, but these are certainly lacking in the magic.

And it's because I didn't set the proper setting for the magic to channel through. Next time I'll be more patient, experiment, and truly listen to what this soap wants to be. I failed wonderfully, and I hope I continue to do so, because I learned.

Yeah... I still make soap....paired with awesome songs, gems, and aromas for a BA cleansing shower experience!

This guy right here has Sunstone, Tiger's Eye, and Banded Carnelian with patchouli, frankincense, and grapefruit essential oils. Oatmeal and Shea butter base with cocoa powder should keep the skin hydrated and youthful! Pairs well with "Come back down to Earth" from the Titan A.E. soundtrack. Great for grounding and stepping into your creativity without fear.
