Even though my Mom and Dad liked most of what I did, I know that I drove them nuts! When it came time to think about college, I didn’t know what I wanted to do. A friend asked me why I wasn’t going to school for Interior Design and I thought to myself – I have no idea! After checking out some schools, my parents were happy to invest in my education at The Art Institute of York where I earned my de

gree in design. Shortly after graduation, I was fortunate enough to be hired as an Interior Designer and Sales Associate at Buck Home in Quarryville, PA. I also participated in two award winning projects for the 2008 Lancaster Parade of Homes, The Wilmington Model for Custom Home Group presented with the Fulton Award, Best Decorated, and Best Interior Design. I owe a lot of my creative discovery to my time spent working there. Following a year at home with my son, I wanted to rejoin the interior design industry but take the focus off new is always better, buy more, and the concept of “keeping up with the Joneses”. I went back to school to earn my Home Staging and Redesign Certificates from the Association of Design Education. LM Redesign is my first venture as an entrepreneur. This exciting opportunity gives me the flexibility to work with my clients’ schedules while raising an active toddler! I love being a Mom, I love design, and I love helping people love the function and look of their homes.

Redesign is not a word you hear every day, but for me it is. I have been an Interior Designer for the last 16 years and in that time, I have really come to make what I do my own. I love the feeling you get walking into your space and knowing it reflects you and your family. It's not just pretty but functional and usable....

My latest project from last week! This is for a family with two young boys and two pets. I had so much fun adding some color and elegance to a beautiful home. It was a very long week but it paid off. Huge thanks for Derek Ruf painting and to my husband for all of his hard work!

Just a sneak peek into last weeks project. I had a lot of help ❤️

Why Hire A Design Professional?

I am going to start answering this question with more questions... Why hire a Flooring Installer? Why hire a Plumber? Why hire an Electrician? Why hire a landscape architect? Why? Because these people, myself included are trained to be the best at what they do. Most professions require a degree, certificate, and a certain amount of training to even be eligible to start a business or be employed by another company. [ 197 more words ]
