The Tomato Barn

Strawberry picking is starting! My friend over a the Tomato Barn has picking at their farm for the first time! Picking starts Memorial Day!

We also love Hoover's up between Lititz and Rothsville. They have a little play area and a great Amish farm market and garden center, worth the drive for us! They also seem to extend their season longer than any of the other farms I have checked with. Call to see if picking is open.

Last year we tried out Weaver's Orchard up near Reading for the first time, that was also a hike but we got to pick blueberries, strawberries and raspberries I think... they have picnic tables, animals, and a nice market store as well. May be fun in conjunction with a visit to Blue Marsh Lake (25ish min) or BBs in Morgantown (10 min). Strawberry Picking to start around June 6.

I think Stone Lane Farm may have closed down (the Tomato Barn was in charge of the strawberry picking there last year and now I can't find any info on them)

Well the strawberries have arrived!!! Pick your own will start on Memorial Day Monday! We will be open Memorial Day 8am-4pm!
This weekend there's a lot going on... Opening up the Tomato Barn, Goody Barn (Fri/Sat:8am-8pm.) The first of our Growing Experience classes Friday 6:30pm and Saturday 2:30pm and Feathered Brick Oven Pizza Friday 5pm-8pm and Saturday 11am-8pm or sold out! Come on out for some fresh strawberries, other fruits, veggies, canned goods, baked goods, ice cream, pizza and gardening fun!
We are excited for the 2018 summer season!!!!!!!!!

The 🍅 barn is out between Millersville and Washington boro (the river sort of Columbia)... It's a fun trip with littles to see the animals and get an ice cream. If you are looking for a CSA, check them out!

Reminder that this weekend is the last to get the full discount for our 2017 CSA program shares. Full Share $250 & Small Share $124 for 12-week summer season! Please feel free to drop off CSA pamphlet filled out with check in an envelope and drop by in our money slot on the roadside stand or just send in mail postmarked by 4/30/17.

March of Dimes

Here is the March for babies registration sign up if you are interested in joining us on May 1st at noon! Since it seems winter has finally come... Just a reminder that winter coats in a carseat are not considered safe... Wear a thin fleece and remove the coat in the carseat so that the straps are tight enough and the material can't compress and leave room for child to be injured in an accident

You can cover kiddos with a blanket, the coat on backwards, or a carseat poncho... Or just warn the car up in advance ;)

Winter Coats SHOULD NOT be worn in car seats....PLEASE watch this video to find out why...

The 1st Annual Pequea Elementary GLOW in the DARK Fun Run will be a fun time for all ages! Every participant will receive a glow stick or bracelet. Come dressed in your best NEON and GLOW in the DARK accessories!
