Manufacturing Monday. Take a tour of the travel trailer production line. Our 140k-square-foot facility houses our trailer line in a Z shape. The first steps include chassis assembly and the installation of suspension and tires before attaching floors, walls, cabinetry, components, a roof, and utilities. We fasten the trailers to a track in the longest section of the midline, allowing them to move laterally for the only time in their lives, while box assembly and quality checks, including pressure testing of the water system, take place. Once the units reach their final finish, we inspect and green-tag them for quality before sending them to your local dealer. Visit our website to find your local dealer and see what's inside!
Lance Truck Camper Production Line
Manufacturing Monday. Take a walk with us down the truck camper production line. Did you know truck campers start their lives upside down? We prioritize the construction of the basement because it plays an important role in maintaining structural integrity and housing critical utilities like lines and wiring. We custom design each truck camper model, tailoring it to the specific truck it will fit, resulting in a unique set of tanks and a purpose-built frame leveraging the proprietary LaceLock aluminum extrusion system.

The Torklift International GlowStep Revolution® RV steps are the ultimate solution available on Lance and Squire towables, offering ground contact stability for your RV steps for unparalleled convenience and safety. Crafted from aircraft grade aluminum and stainless steel.
Manufacturing Monday. The Lance cabinetry shop. Many other manufacturers outsource cabinetry production. We do it all in house and manufacturer down to the location of every single screw with RTA (Ready to Assmble) CNC cut screw guides. So whether it’s unit one or one hundred down the assembly line we know every unit is securely fastened with quality control.
Manufacturing Mondays. Travel Trailer Line: Station 1. When a trailer starts its manufacturing process, we assemble the chassis in an upside-down position, attach the suspension, wheels, and tires, and connect the gas lines, tongue, and support jacks. The unit highlighted in this video includes our heavy-duty I-beam chassis, manufactured by Extereme Custom Trailers here in southern California, as well as the Lippert Road ArmorTM shock-absorbing trailer equalizer kit! The Road Armor system absorbs bumps and vibrations during travel to reduce chucking, resulting in a more comfortable ride with less stress on your trailer.

Manufacturing Mondays. We produce all our external walls, floors, and ceilings within the Lance automated manufacturing facility. This 60,000-square-foot building is located at our Lancaster, California, campus. In order to ensure proper curing of non-toxic glues and prevent delamination, this structure maintains 100% controlled humidity and temperature. We employ glue application rollers, high-pressure pinch rollers for bonding, and automated CNC cutting tables to create a fully bonded exterior, including the roof and ceiling. The process begins when we layer and press substrate materials such as high-density block foam, Lamilux fiberglass, and Azdel. Next, we CNC-cut the foam while measuring and cutting every piece of aluminum structure with a laser guided milling machine. The CNC-cut foam then serves as an exact jig and precision check for the framing installation process. Before all the larger holes needed for vents, doors, windows, and other fixtures are CNC cut out, more pressure pinch rolls are employed in several stages while the sandwich's frame is welded, glued, and given another press. The process also entails adding backer materials within the walls and frame to increase tensile strength for interior component mounting before finally closing the opposite layer for a finished product.
