ALERT: MAJOR SCAM GOING ON NOW TO DRAIN BANK ACCOUNTS:

A FAMILY MEMBER OF MINE AND A FRIEND OF THEIR FRIEND JUST HAD THEIR BANK ACCOUNTS COMPLETELY DRAINED OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS.

THE SCAMMERS CALLED AND MANAGED TO MANIPULATE THE NUMBER TO SHOW IN THEIR CALLER ID AS THE ACTUAL BANK AND NUMBER. THEY ASKED IF THEY AUTHORIZED A CHARGE, AND WHEN THEY SAY NO, THEY ACT LIKE THEY'RE PUTTING AN ALERT ON YOUR ACCOUNT TO STOP FURTHER CHARGES, AS THE BANK WOULD DO. NOTHING SEEMED SUSPICIOUS AS THE SCAMMER ALREADY HAD THEIR NAME, ACCT. USER NAME, ADDRESS, S.S. #, AND WAS ABLE TO RESET THEIR PASSWORDS. THIS HAPPENED WITH WELLS FARGO AND CHASE BANK.

THEY DRAINED THEIR CHECKING & SAVINGS ACCTS. THROUGH PURCHASES MADE AT STORES IN CALIFORNIA. AND YET, THE
BANKS NEVER BOTHERED TO ALERT THEM OF THESE HIGHLY UNUSAL CHARGES.

AND, TO ADD TO THIS HORRIBLE VIOLATION, THE SCAMMER SHOWED UP AT THEIR HOUSE WEARING A WELLS FARGO LOGO SHIRT TO GET THE CARD.

THEY DROVE AWAY IN A LIGHT-COLORED LEXUS WITH CALIFORNIA PLATES.

PLEASE BE AWARE, WATCH YOUR ACCOUNTS CLOSELY AND IF YOU GET A CALL FROM YOUR BANK, CALL THE BANK BACK YOURSELF, DO NOT TALK TO THE PERSON WHO CALLED YOU.
