Equally at home in the typical suburban three bedroom home in the United States or the small block home in a village in Mexic

o, Dave is that guy. For the family who has never traveled in Mexico, to the person who is ready to venture off the typical tourist trail and explore something new, Dave Miller's Mexico brings a unique perspective. It is a perspective gleaned from years of travel and experiences that few will ever match. Join him on his journey and experience Mexico as few have, step by step as he seeks to share the culture, the art, the food and the richest resource of all, the people of Mexico with you.

12 years ago I first served with Pastor Gaspar Chable on medical mission in Oaxaca. Today we're both picking people up from different airports in Oaacac for another time of medical mission together. But today Gaspar is making it happen on his birthday! Gaspar Chable, a man with a servant's heart, no matter what. I'm honored to have him as a friend. Feliz Cumpleaños Gaspar! Mil bendiciones. [We were a lot younger then!]

The first time I experienced this in person, I was walking one night in Oaxaca and saw a bunch of activity near a local intersection. Stopping with my wife to watch what was going on, we soon saw a makeshift wrestling rink going up. Right in the middle of that intersection. And then the fun started as wrestlers and bodies were soon flying everywhere as the people enjoyed a great night of Lucha Libre. It's a great part of the Mexican culture and experience.

If you follow me, you know I spend significant time in Mexico. Even some of my closest left leaning friends in that country are uncomfortable with a president who is claiming a mandate to reform the judiciary in order to conform it to his will. Read this article...

Diplomats say López Obrador’s judicial reforms threaten Mexico’s young democracy and the United States’ most important trade relationship.

I can't offer enough Thank You's to all the people who reached out to wish me and Chelle a Happy 45th Anniversary. Hard to comprehend just how long that is. Again, thanks to each and everyone of you, our friends across multiple lines of life.

Tomorrow is election day in Mexico. I was there six years ago when AMLO won in a landslide. I was there in 2000 when Vicente Fox broke the back of the PRI party after 71 years of election wins. This year I am watching from afar. Stuart Colvin, a friend of mine from Australia, sent this article on the elections, from his islands perspective... it's definitely worth a read!

Mexico’s election is the largest in its history with 20,000 posts in the polls: but the key race is the presidential one, says University of Melbourne expert.

In 2015 I asked Chef Pilar Cabrera of Restaurante La Olla in Oaxaca to help us at a Vocational Camp I was doing for young people there. I was pretty nervous, not knowing what she would say. Of course she said yes and she's helped me and Adventures In Life many times over. Today I want to say Congrats to my friend for being recognized by Michelin for her restaurant in Oaxaca City. Great job Pilar... felicidades a ti y todo el equipo de La Olla. Nos vemos pronto.
