Villa Caprichosa, Panama! A quaint boutique hotel located on Taboga Island with spectacular views and stellar service. An amazing restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner with views that never stop. The owner Diane has been featured in Architectural Digest for her designs. Take the short ferry and enjoy this masterpiece.

Welcome to Dreams Sapphire resort in Puerto Morales, Mexico. This resort makes you feel like you are have found your island oasis. The beautiful adults only pool was my favorite spot to catch some rays and read a book. Thatched roofs with warm welcoming spaces set it apart from some of the larger resorts. The beautiful beach is just steps away.

Athens, Greece
It was hard not to fall immediately in love with this city. Dating back to earlier than 500 BC this city connects you to the very earliest of times and all it’s wonder. Look below your feet and you may see the continued excavation of history, but what makes it so very special is the people. The last photo is of my husband and dear friend who ran into a shop to wait for myself and friend who were shopping. Before we knew it, he had set up table in the middle of the street and was sharing his homemade ouzo (an anise flavored alcoholic drink) with our husbands. A memory of a lifetime and a hope that some day we can experience this kind of hospitality wherever we go.

The city of art, architecture and history. We only had one day in this beautiful city but ended up seeing many of the most popular spots by hiring a private tour guide. We have learned that the cost of hiring the private guide often pays off when in a top location for a short time. The smaller the tour, the more time to see each place and taylor your experience.

soft wines. We stayed at the beautiful Mandarin Oriental next to high end shops and walking distance to many of Gaudi’s influences. Beautiful beaches with side walk cafes, some of the best seafood of my life and people watching for hours. We stayed at the beautiful Pelican Hotel with views of the surf and walking distance to anything you could want. I recommend parking your car and letting your feet do the walking.

Welcome to adventure. My dream has always been to travel, but growing up in small town Montana, travel seemed scary and honestly unobtainable. After meeting my husband Mike who had already conquered his fear of travel, I jumped on board and traveled to 6 countries in our first year together. They were not all smooth sailing but I learned about how to roll with the consistent changes of travel and ultimately fell in love. Now we encourage others to take that leap of faith to go somewhere new. Even if it’s far away and they don’t speak English.
