Roatan is one of the Caribbean's best-kept secrets. The Roatan Island is approximately 40 miles long. It’s located in the western Caribbean.

Roatan sits on the 2nd largest barrier reef system on the planet. The Mesoamerican Barrier Reef stretches from the country of Belize to Roatan for over 700 miles. This is why this island attracts many water-sport enthusiasts like scuba divers. Roatan has become a world-class destination for big game fishing, boaters, divers, snorkelers, etc..

Roatan is more than just a cruise port stop. Besides all the fantastic snorkeling and scuba diving opportunities, you can go ziplining at Monkey Trail Canopy at Gumbalimba Park and fly through the jungle straight to the beach!

After sipping some Monkey-lalas on the beach you can also head over to Manawakie Eco Nature Park to visit with the monkeys🐒, sloths 🦥 and macaws🦜.

Now, onto food and shopping! Grab a delicious cinnamon roll from J & S Bakery. Once you’ve savored this delicious treat you can indulge on the most popular food in Honduras, Baleadas!
Balaedas are homemade flour tortillas filled with beans and cheese. You can get them with avocado, eggs, chicken or meat.
