Things are goin down!! Tree removal to make room for the pool! These guys were an amazing team of workers! Shout out to Brandywine Tree and Shrub! Reasonable prices too! They work in DE and PA!

Sunset cruise out of Lewes... gorgeous night! We got to see the lighthouse that we have a replica of in front of our house up close and personal. Absolutely beautiful evening shared with good friends 💕

Soo cool!!

Do you know why the lights on the Charles W. Cullen Bridge over the Indian River Inlet are blue at night?

According to Delaware Seashore State Park, it's because of bats! "Bats have an internal magnetic compass to orient themselves in the night sky. This compass depends on wavelengths of light to tell the creature where it is or where it needs to go. Unlike other colors, blue light does not disorient them during nighttime hunting, guiding their natural compass in the right direction. All bat species in our state feed on insects, so a successful bat compass equals successful insect control in the park!"

EDIT: The color of the lighting was also chosen to reduce impacts on migratory birds, as well as bats.

Here’s one sad change for next year...

After nearly 100 years at 1 Rehoboth Ave., Dolle’s Candyland in Rehoboth Beach is moving. In an interview Dec. 19, owner Tom Ibach said the lease on the property expires Sunday, Jan. 31, 2021. He said Dolle’s will move roughly 100 feet to the west...
