I'm excited to announce that I am the guest artist at Gallery 255 at the Public Library of Union County in Lewisburg PA (on Reitz Rd) for the month of November 2023. I will be exhibiting 60+ artworks, in the fiber art mediums of quilting, Japanese sashiko embroidery, rag weaving, and hand-stitched collage. There is a public reception scheduled for SAT NOV. 4 from 2-4. You can view the exhibit anytime during regular library hours- which includes several evenings. Closed Sundays & Thanksgiving Day, but open the WED before and the FRI after. Message me if you want to meet up for a private walk through. Thanks!

And...🥁🥁🥁 my "Indigo Patchwork" quilt was juried into a SAQA-PA exhibit titled "Textiles Unleashed." The scroll-like vertical piece (click to see full view) is made with Japanese handwoven and hand-stenciled fabric remnants from vintage kimono. It is machine-quilted. The group exhibit will be at The Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art in Loretto, PA, near Altoona from April 28, 2023 through July 15, 2023. There will be a reception on Saturday, April 29 with attending artists speaking about their work.

So happy to announce that one of my fiber collages, "Three Friends," was juried into the Penn College of Technology 2023 "100 miles" exhibit, showcasing the diverse and artistic talent of our region. Located in Williamsport, PA, the show dates are June 1-July 20. Ya'll come!

Sometimes in life you are in the right place at the right time... I was volunteering at Gallery 255 of the Union County Library here in Lewisburg last Tuesday, monitoring the 9th Annual Lewisburg Arts Council's Member Exhibition for a few hours... when a journalist from the Standard Journal newspaper came by and asked for an impromptu interview... YAY! The show is up through the month of February during regular library hours (NOTE: There are 3 libraries in the vicinity; this is the one on Reitz Rd.) Feel free to share this post! P.S. By the way, there is a new art exhibit every month and I'm the featured solo artist for the month of November 2023. Mark them calendars! Ya'll come! Textiles= ART!

Yet another glorious autumn day- with more gasping colorations even within the SAME leaf!! Nature’s decay is a fascinating thing. Do you know that trees actually PUSH off their leaves? This year’s color changes are the best I can ever remember.

Walking outdoors in the very late afternoon here in central PA… the colors are different at this time of day… 1st five photos from the same tree!! Then 6&7 leaf bunch also from 1 tree!!! Like a kid, I still can’t resist picking up leaves. Photo 8 me with long legs, last of the 🌞 for Oct 15 2022.

Summer fun! Added 5 very small quilts to my QEJAPAN Etsy shop. The first three pieces double as Tic-Tac-Toe game boards (!) & come with 2 sets of shells 🐚. #1 & # 2 are nearly identical in fabrics but #2 is a tiny “travel” version of #1 that fits in your pocket or purse. #4, titled “The Letter,” is a narrative piece with lots of hand quilting. And #5 is a Blue & White Yukata Log Cabin wall piece made with treasured vintage hand-stenciled remnants. Link in profile.
