Oh the Animal Kingdom Lodge was such a wonderful experience and place to stay! I wanted to share that amongst the many great places to eat there, one of our favorite “table service” restaurants happens to be a buffet also. It’s called Boma. If you don’t know what “Boma” means, one of the meanings is an enclosed space built for protection, either for animals or humans. If you see the last photo in the line up, that is a “Boma” as well. They actually built that so that in the case of an emergency such as an evacuation of the resort, the humans can go inside that enclosure and be protected from the animals that live on the Savanah’s there. Oh! And speaking of Savanah’s…we went on a night-time tour of the Savanah’s there! It was so dark out so we were given night-vision glasses (think one side of a pair of binoculars) to be able to see all the animals clearly. The tour guide was a pro! Her name was Emily and she said she began her career with Disney as a cast member at Magic Kingdom park through the college program years ago. She said she moved away from that and ended up where she is now as an animal caretaker. She was funny, so detailed in her descriptions of the animals and she was just filled with knowledge. It was so amazing. We did our best to show you some photos of it, but trust me, it was way better in person. My advice: if you can swing it, and everyone in your party is over 8 years old, book a night-time safari tour at Animal Kingdom Lodge Kidani Village. It’s soooo worth it. Those memories are something my boys will never forget.

How do you start a day at Magic Kingdom park?!?! The best advice I can give you, is head straight to the back of the park, and visit Gaston’s Tavern for their cinnamon rolls, the crème brûlée croissant and LeFou’s Brew! We love starting our day that way with breakfast from Gaston’s! It’s so good! And they’re huge, you can totally share! My boys don’t share anymore though, they eat a ton so they can finish one by themselves 🤣

Let’s talk about the shows! Broadway level entertainment is in each park! It’s amazing to watch and also gives you a chance to avoid the rain or sun/heat while taking a 30 min or so break depending on when you enter the theatre. There are so many to choose from, but two of my favorites are the “Lion King” show and the “Finding Nemo: The Big Blue…and Beyond!” show. Both of these are at the Animal Kingdom Park. You cannot miss these when you’re here. So amazing and so worth your time. Both are reason enough to book your next trip through me and let me help you schedule these into your day!

At Animal Kingdom Lodge, you can’t help but feel like you’ve truly traveled a million miles away from home. I meant it when I said the landscape and animals are amazing! If you get the chance to stay here, or any resort on Disney property, make sure you make the time on your “rest days” away from the parks, to explore your resort! We were able to enjoy games and activities at the pool, and begin our bead collection by visiting certain areas on property to experience interactive and very informative lessons yesterday. The lessons were taught by cast members born and raised in different countries in Africa, and my boys were able to learn how they feed giraffes in one and about the continent of Africa and some of its most famous places…no doubt we will try to visit each location while here and collect all the beads! But so many free activities are available at these resorts, you don’t always have to visit a park to have fun!

Over the years we have been lucky enough to stay at many different resorts on Disney property. There are three tiers on Disney property: Value, Moderate and Deluxe. This is our first time at a “Deluxe” resort. We chose for the first half of our stay to be at Animal Kingdom Lodge. We will transfer later to another resort to wrap up our vacation. 😍It’s amazingly themed (think Africa and the Lion King), the landscape and architecture are beautiful, and to top it off there is an actual Savanah area where you can find multiple different kinds of animals roaming! We are loving our stay here, and will definitely be adding this resort to our “favorites “list!

Hello everyone!

After a long break, I’m baaaaccckk! My day job has taken me on an adventure of sorts, 😅 so I put a pause on being a Travel Agent for a while. I’m so happy to say that, now, I’m finally able to jump back into helping everyone else get their trips planned!

😁I’m lucky enough to be able to be back visiting Walt Disney World with my family, and we are going to take you along on our trip this week and next! I will be showing you some of our favorite restaurants, rides, where we’re lucky enough to stay at, and more fun times and helpful tips with each post!

If you happen across one of my business cards while at one of the four parks over the next two weeks, don’t hesitate to reach out to me! I’m so glad to be jumping back into helping and I can’t wait to send you on your next adventure!

❤️Ashley

Happy Sunday! Hope you’re all having fun gettin’ ready for the Superbowl! I wanted to take a moment and bring up getting through and moving around in the parks! I myself use a scooter, fondly referred to as my “ol’ lady scooter” while I’m visiting Disney World as an amputee. I have troubles with getting my prosthetic to fit properly all the time, and when you’re putting in miles and miles each day, it can be hard to have limited mobility. I find that using a scooter really helps me keep up with my husband and two boys, and allows for me to not wear myself down too quickly. There was a trip before my amputation surgery that I walked on a bum ankle and paid for it each night, practically crawling back to our resort at the end of the day. Looking back now, I wish I had gotten one sooner so I could enjoy more while there. The company that I have personally enjoyed working with the most is Gold Mobility Scooters. They are super reliable, responsive and kind. Their scooters are high end, very comfortable and also include perks unlike the in-park rentals like drop off/pick up at your resort (so you can leave the parks!), charging ports in the scooter, baskets for holding your belongings and complimentary rain ponchos even! They offer discounts throughout the year, but their rates are always reasonable and fair even with out a discount. The main advantages of getting a scooter through them are: you know it will work, it will be comfortable throughout your park travels, and they come to you to drop it off and pick it up! You won’t be disappointed if you use them.

This is hilariously accurate but it’s ALWAYS worth it, because well, it’s Florida and it’s amazing 😂

I’ve mentioned before that during our last vacation we did a split stay at Disney World. Our first three days were at All-Star Movies but the next seven days were at Port Orleans Riverside. It is such a beautiful resort. They classify it as a moderate resort, so think middle of the price list. We chose to stay in a Royal Guest Room which is themed with all your favorite Royals-think Princesses and Princes! They also have beautiful standard rooms that are simple and elegant. The resort itself reminds you of the south, Louisiana, the bayou…it’s such a great place to feel like you’ve really “went away”! Because Disney is offering amazing promotions like the “Stay, Play and get a Disney Dining Promo Card” I decided to price out another option to show you. A family of four, with two kids under 10, staying from August 6th to the 12th this fall can stay in a Royal room and get 4 days of park tickets and memory maker all for….🥁🥁🥁…..$4775.80 AND receive $600 to pay for your dining while you’re there! Vacations to Disney World seem way too expensive for many families but when you’re able to add on promotions they offer and only have to put down a deposit of $200 to hold your spot, it’s much more realistic than most people think. You can make monthly payments at your own pace after putting down your deposit too! Text, call or message me to let me build you a FREE estimate for your first or next Disney Vacation!

My family of four stayed at the All-Star Movies Resort (a Value Resort) at Disney World in September of 2022. It was a three day stay before we switched to another resort on property called Port Orleans Riverside (a Moderate Resort). This stay was perfect for helping keep us on budget and offered tons of options for food at the resort, an amazing themed pool, entertainment on site, as well as free transportation to and from the parks while we stayed. 😉now here’s what you need to know: right now, Disney is offering a “Stay, play and Enjoy a Disney Dining Promo Card” through select dates in July, August and September. You won’t want to pass this up if you and your family are planning to go this year. This promo card will give you up to $150 per night depending on the resort you stay at, to spend on dining at the parks and other resort locations. When I checked into this resort for a family of four, including two children under 10, from August 6th to the 12th, added memory maker which provides you with the most amazing professional photo opportunities and ride photos while you visit, included 4 park tickets for 4 days…..drumroll….it costs $3,591.16 and that would include them giving YOU $300 to spend on food! Interested?! Text, email or shoot me a message and let me give you a FREE estimate of what it could cost you!
