The Respite is a missions-house ministry and vacation rental available for short-term stays as a retreat to relax, unwind, and refocus.

The Respite is a missions-house ministry and vacation rental property located in Lindsborg, KS. The Respite is privately owned and operated and is available for rent to the general public. The Respite came to fruition first by abundant blessings from God and is a part of a life-long jou

rney of stewardship. The Respite has been touched by many hands in its creation and the mission of The Respite is to touch many hearts in return. 1st Peter 4:8-10 & 1st Chronicles 29:11-14. The Respite is a 1 bed / 1 bath house that rents for $100/night with a 2 night min. stay on the weekends (Fri-Sun). Accepted forms of payment are by Credit Card, Cash, PayPal, and Venmo with payment made in full at the time the reservation is made. Gift certificates are available with no blackout dates and no expiration; The Respite Rewards program is now available, stay 10 nights and get the 11th night at no-cost! Request for cancellation must be made at least 5 days in advance of the start date of the scheduled stay in order to receive a full refund. Any cancellations inside of the 5 day window will be refunded in the form of a gift certificate for a stay at a later date. Exceptions on a case-by-case basis.

-Check-in time is 1:00pm and check-out time is 11:00am
-Thorough guestbook & instructions provided in lieu of in-person check-in and check-out
-Each guest will be issued a private Key code prior to their arrival
-House is fully furnished & comes with all linen, towels & washcloths, basic toiletries, tableware, pots & pans etc.
-Sleeps 4 adults comfortably with a Queen bed and a Queen air mattress; couch space and an oversized recliner available for additional guest up to 6.
-Continental breakfast, basic spices, and condiments provided; fridge stocked with bottled water
-Non-smoking property inside the residence, on the front porch, & in the treehouse.
-Fenced yard with pets allowed; no pets inside the house or treehouse.
-Jetted Spa bathtub available
-Laundry on-site: soap & dryer sheets provided
-Free WiFi & printer / scanner / copier available onsite
-WiFi enabled Movie and TV services available
-Central heat and air with a wood stove for use from Oct - April; firewood provided
-BBQ grill and smoker, horseshoe pits, and a treehouse onsite

Praise the Lord for this 5-Star rating and for all of the wonderful guests he sends to The Respite Retreat; I’ve loved meeting many of them and count my blessings which I say overflow agin and again each time someone comes to stay.

Thank you Jesus for paying the wage for my sins, for the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, and for the opportunity to serve you by serving others.

Thank you once again to the kind person that pulled the trash cart around to the side of the house at The Respite Retreat, what a special blessing to see folks reaching out, caring, and being so helpful. I had gone to the house today to reposition the cart and it had already been moved!

Thank you to the kind person or folks who moved The Respite trash polycart back behind the house. It’s been moved in the past also and I’m always very thankful and grateful for these acts of kindness. I marvel at the servants heart on display all around The Respite in this very special community; the people of Lindsborg are the best.

Praise the Lord for how he provides through others!

Hey y’all! I’m getting on here with some exciting news and updates that are now posted in this first edition of “The Respite Report”; a newsletter to glorify God and praise him for all of the work that he has done and is doing through The Respite.

I am so thankful and grateful to God for allowing me to operate The Respite; through this ministry and business he’s stretched my heart by leaps and bounds, provided manifold opportunities to prove my desire and faithfulness, and he’s given me opportunity to see his mighty hand of grace, mercy, and love at work. I’m in awe of the synergistic prowess of our God, how he provides, and how he really does work all things together for good and for his glory; what a tremendous blessing it’s been to serve the Lord through The Respite!

**A special thank you to Pastor Jeff Quigley and Angela Quigley of Smoky Valley Baptist Church who have big hearts and love to serve the Lord; they have been instrumental in the success of The Respite through much appreciated and coveted development of wisdom, knowledge, patience, godliness, and purity in my walk with the Lord.

Please continue to pray over the operations of The Respite, for it's guests, and for God to be glorified in everything that is done here.

God is good and he is faithful!
