Stopped in the 1970's Bar , Rollie's Bar & Grill , with original stalls and seats still , as well as A Bar used in A 1800's sailing ship , and scenes were filmed here in the Stephen King novel turned Movie , THINNER in Belfast Maine .... Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor. Penobscot County, Maine. April 21, 1989.

The horror film "Pet Sematary" is released in theaters. Based on the Stephen King's novel, much of the movie was filmed in Maine.

Bangor's own Stephen King appeared in a cameo as a minister performing a funeral. The funeral was filmed in Bangor's Mount Hope Cemetery.
