Lonesome Dove B&B has closed.....I still miss this great business but it was time to retire and start a new adventure. Thank you for making this business so much fun....great guests we had for 15 years..

This has been a difficult year, decisions on closing or not....but family got together and gave me a retirement party...so that kind of made the decision...now time to do something new.....still love this business. Best guests in the world graced this property...God has been very good to me. Thank you all. Ruth

This is the start of a wonderful holiday season....decorations, baking and wonderful friends..This weekend, is decorate the Christmas Trees, good food, family and lots of love to go around. Merry Christmas to all and especially the wonderful guests that blessed Lonesome Dove this year.

Spring has arrived at Lonesome Dove and the gardens are displaying some lovely colors. Come and take a little tour, suggestions are always welcome. The Lonesome Dove Bed and Breakfast welcomes you to a country setting to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Lonesome Dove is a Connecticut Bed and Breakfast located near MGM at Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun Casinos. A short trip takes you to Mystic Seaport, Mystic Aquarium, and Mystic shopping. We are surrounded by history: visit the Nautilus, the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, and many other fun-filled activities.

This Connecticut Bed and Breakfast offers three beautifully decorated rooms with fireplaces and private baths. Enjoy the gazebo where you can sip your wine by the pond and watch the indigenous birds and wildlife (Lonesome Dove is a certified National Wildlife Backyard Habitat).

This room is available for one night stays on weekends.

The Lily room offers privacy and the peaceful surroundings of the woods and stream. It is well appointed with a four poster bed, private bath, fireplace, and decor that changes for special occasions and seasons.

Cozy robes are available to dance the Tango (or so I'm told).

Greet each morning with a hearty breakfast of fresh fruit, juices, fresh baked breads or muffins; waffles, pancakes or eggs; meats, and coffee or tea.

Rates: Friday and Saturday - $149 per night Sunday through Thursday - $129 per night.

From July to October a two night stay is required for weekend reservations.
