England ❤️🤍💙 I’ve loved it here since I was a teenager. This trip leaves me feeling eager to share Britain with more of you!!

Even though this was my 6th time to the UK I experienced a lot of new things. From the gorgeous countryside, to busy London, I’m coming home even more excited to put together itineraries for all kinds of travelers. If you’re looking for a group trip I love helping with those, too!

Yesterday we popped over to Highclere Castle! We explored the grounds, walked throughout the castle, and saw the Egyptian Exhibition. Then, we ended our visit with an afternoon tea picnic. They don’t allow any photos inside the building at all, so you’ll have to picture me walking in places like Lord Grantham’s staircase, Lady Grantham’s bedroom, and pretending to say something shocking in the dining room 🤓

For guests who aren’t fans of Downton Abbey but do enjoy history, this is also a fantastic visit. For example, the late Queen was godmother to the current and 8th Earl of Highclere. There are photos of Elizabeth & Philip visiting Highclere to visit the family and attend horse races nearby.

The 5th Earl funded and headed up the dig where they discovered the tomb of ancient Egyptian King Tutankhamen. They brought back a ton of stuff from the dig, many of which you can see at Highclere.

It was a great way to spend a day in the countryside! am loving this slower-paced, beautiful sights before heading into busy London.

Hampton Court has been on my list for years. Today we got to explore!

A lavish home that Henry VIII stole from one of his minister’s, he made it his favorite royal residence. We set aside an entire day to explore this massive estate, with hidden treasures and mysterious rooms. Multiple monarchs have built onto the palace, making it a mix of Medieval, Tudor, Stuart, and Georgian styles. King George II was the last to live at Hampton Court until 1760. A few monarchs later, Queen Victoria purchased Hampton Court into the British government, began restorations, and opened it for the public to view.

This incredible and complicated palace has the fingerprints of English Kings & Queens from the 1500’s to the late Queen Elizabeth II. There was just so.much.to.see!!

I’m so thankful to have visited today! Hampton Court gives you a better understanding of life in previous centuries, tensions between different European nations, how people behave when they have no accountability 👀 and how so much of the world has changed.

After a long travel day we made it to England!

We’re spending a lot of time this trip in the countryside before heading into London. Stop 1 was Jane Austen’s house. We walked the hallways where the great author lived. Here we held a copy of “Pride & Prejudice” in the room where it was first read aloud. Her writing desk is on display, as well as a replica of her only surviving gown is on display. The house turned museum is so charming and fun, celebrating one of the best storytellers to live. Just up the street from the cottage is her brother’s Chawton House, which includes St Nicholas Church, Austen’s final resting place.

Then we checked into our b&b, which is upstairs at this charming pub. Today was a wonderful start to this girls trip!!

Friends, I can’t stress this enough!! If you want to sail to Alaska next summer, especially if you’re limited to June or July we need to get you booked & deposited ASAP!
