Day 9 and 10- Last Day at Sea and Heading Home
This day is always bittersweet. You want to keep exploring and experiencing everything you ship has to offer, but you're also aware that your time is almost up. We each picked a few things that we still wanted to do, and we took our time soaking it all in.
I miss the sea, the ship, the food, the shows and the crew. I miss the uninterrupted family time. I miss the adventure. But I know this is not the last Disney Cruise for the Pacheco Family. ❤️

Day 8- Cozumel, Mexico
Even though we love Jamaica, our excursion in Cozumel was the one we were looking forward to the most. When we found out it was canceled, we were pretty disappointed. After searching for a replacement excursion, we decided to change plans all together and enjoy a nearly empty ship. If you want a pool to yourself on a cruise, this is how you get one!!
Pool and waterside time, coffee, ping pong, shopping in the market, and naps was a pretty awesome back-up plan.
That night, a comedian/juggler preformed on stage and Zach was chosen to join him!! He introduced himself and Marcus Monroe with a script he was given. He is a natural on stage and was recognized by others after the show. I'm pretty sure he loved every second of it!!
We stayed up late meeting characters, playing trivia, and watching the waves. The sea and sky were beautiful!!
Day 7- Grand Caymen
This cruise did not have a stop at Castaway Cay. We knew we would miss that experience so we opted for beach time on Seven Mile Beach. I'm so glad we did!! The sand was soft, the water was warm, no crazy waves, and lots of sunshine!!
After our beach day, we still had so much left in our evening. Delicious dinner, trivia, and Tangled the Musical!!
Also... in case you didn't know... I cannot tell you how delicious Churro Mickey Waffles taste!! They are THE BEST Waffles EVER!! I've only ever found them on a Disney Cruise and they usually only have them on one morning. Do not miss out!! If you see them, try them!!
Day 6- Jamaica 🇯🇲
We have loved Jamaica ever since our first visit!! This day was no different. Warm weather, friendly guides, beautiful scenery, and a fun marketplace. My only regret is that we didn't spend more time there.
Rafting on the Martha Bre was just as magical this time as our first trip. ✨️ If you get the chance, DO IT!!
And of course I can't forget the famous Pirate Night and Disney's Fireworks at Sea!! Perfect end to our amazing day.
Days 4 and 5- Days at Sea
I was actually really looking forward to our days at Sea on this cruise because I had never been on this ship before. I was ready to explore!! And maybe do some relaxing as well. I think we did a pretty good job at doing both. Buffets, ice cream, Bingo, trivia, coffee, ping pong, drinks, characters, formal night, game shows, stage shows, mixology class, live music, the ocean... Just take a look!!
Day 3... Embarkation!!
There is nothing like seeing the Mickey Boat for the first time before you board. I usually cry. My family knows and likes to count how many times I cry each Cruise. 🫣 But I don't mind, really. Disney is magical, and I LOVE it. ❤️
The Port of Galveston was ahead of schedule, so we were able to board early, eat lunch, and grab our first ice cream, all within about an hour of arriving at the Port. Our room was ready very quickly, too!! After checking that out and decorating our door, we went exploring!! The Magic is a smaller ship than we are used to but I kinda liked it. You could get anywhere you wanted within about 5 minutes.
We explored, played, and ate!! We were officially on vacation!!
As promised, let's talk about my last adventure!!
Day 1 and 2- This was my 6th Disney Cruise, but my first out of Galveston and my first on the Disney Magic. Galveston was a bit cold and rainy for our trip. We opted to stay a little further from the port and from the Seawall at The Holiday Inn Club Vacation Beach Resort. They offered larger rooms, direct beach access, and a heated infinity pool. It was a little farther from most dining options, but it was peaceful!! Our first night, we tried out The Spot for dinner. It was yummy!!
The second day, we ventured to 'Lil Buffalo Grille for THE BEST breakfast!! It's tucked away in a cute neighborhood with some boutique shops, a pond, and a cute coffee place, Sugar Bean. We sipped our coffee as we walked around the pond and it was so relaxing.
Next, we played 2 rounds of Mini Golf in the rain at Magic Carpet Golf. We had the place to ourselves!! We went back to the hotel for some pool and nap time. Then, we met up with some family at Gaido's for dinner. Oh my... go to Gaido's when you are in Galveston. Service, location, food... just YES!!
On our last morning, we took a stroll on the beach and got ready to see our next home, the Disney Magic!!
Well, we're home from our magical Disney Cruise!! We miss it already. I'll be sharing our adventures day by day, but until then...

Waiting for our next Disney trip looks a little different now than it did back then. But I wouldn't change a thing!! We've vacationed at Disney since my boys were 6 months old, and on our next trip, my oldest will be 15!! Every stage is different, and each we have created special memories. If you're waiting to go to Disney until they "are old enough,"... don't. Because you'll miss this. 🥰 Current countdown - 34 days.
It's official!! The Obmann Family is going to Disney World!! The countdown has started for this family's trip in October. Can you tell they're excited?? They will be staying at Pop Century, will be visiting the parks for 5 days and will be celebrating Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom one night. It's a dream come true and a very special vacation because it will be Sawyer's first trip to Disney!! Thank you so much for trusting me to help you plan this magical vacation!! Can I be honest? I wasn't sure about going on a Disney Cruise. I had never cruised before and didn't really have a desire to try. BUT... after our first Disney Cruise, we fell in love. ❤ The Disney magic that we felt every time we went to Disney World was just as present on the Disney Cruise. We saw SO many characters and were able to interact with them in a more personal way. The food was AMAZING. We all talk about the food fairly regularly. Plus our boys were able to explore different countries and experience their history through the excursions. Not to mention the incredible shows every night and... I could go on forever!! Now, we're getting ready to go on our 4th cruise and it's almost all I can think about!! If you ask our boys what their favorite vacation is, they will both say a Disney Cruise.
