We have been extremely successful with our Oxford Casino Sunday Shuttles. We have run them every other week since February and they have been very popular! We chose to stop them for the summer, unless we can go mid-week with at least 4-5 people.
Our price has been $39 per person, but clients have recently paid us $40 and said to keep the change. This sounds great, but provides an issue for bookkeeping.
So effective immediately . . the Oxford Casino Shuttle run will be $40 per person. We need to keep it simple and round the price out.

The weather is supposed to be sunny this Saturday, SO . . . as of right now I am planning to do my second yard sale of the season from 9am - 5pm (or until customers stop coming).

This sale will be to benefit the Littleton Christmas Parade. Everything is by donation and there will be a bucket for people to drop money into even if they don't buy anything.

I wasn’t going to say anything, but the months of dealing with this issue has made me very angry!
We, The Littleton Civic Booster Club, booked the Wicked Smart Horn Band to perform at our 2023 Littleton Christmas Parade Ball at the Elks Club last November. We paid a $500 deposit for the performance in March 2023. They CANCELLED due to personal reasons close to the last minute.
We expected a refund of our deposit.
We never received anything back!! I contacted them. Our lawyer contacted them. They have completely blown our non-profit organization off!!
I am writing this and telling everybody so that you know how this band apparently works.
We need this money back to use for future Christmas Parade events. Our non-profit organization works VERY hard to raise money.

Our Bi-weekly Sunday shuttle to Oxford Casino has come to an end until Fall, HOWEVER . . we will be doing a few Wednesday runs this summer for those who still want to go. Keep in mind we will need a full van (5) in order to make the run.
As of today, we are scheduling a trip for Wednesday, June 12th if we get enough to go. We have 3 already signed up. Get in touch if interested.
Following tomorrows Memorial Day Motorcade, we will hold a short ceremony at the Monument Entrance to Glenwood Cemetary. We will place flowers, hold a moment of silence, play taps, plus a surprise guest.
There will be time for participants to go down past the cemetary, turn around and park on the cemetary side of the road. It will be short so that everyone can also go to Cottage Street Bridge for the VFW Ceremony at noon.
Well, the countdown has begun! According to Channel 9, no rain until in the afternoon tomorrow. I hope that we end up with many more participants who will show up.
Those of you who have already signed up, please tell all your friends to come out and be along the procession route.

This event will be held RAIN OR SHINE! So there will be no need to call me and ask if it has been cancelled or not.
The event shall be somber with reverence and respect to honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice (plus all of our loved ones who are no longer with us). Absolutely nothing political will be allowed! If you have any type of campaign stickers, etc.. on your vehicle, they need to be covered up for this occasion.
The Littleton Fire Department has put out the word to other departments to attend. When all is said and done, I am hoping for between 20-30 vehicles participating.
Once the motorcade concludes at the Fire Station, I will be placing some type of floral arrangement at the monument at the entrance to Glenwood Cemetary as a token from those in the motorcade. Any and all participants are invited to join me and observe a moment of silence.

Thanks to Brian Fox, Commander of the Franklin, NH VFW . . . The US Veterans Motorcycle Club will be in our Memorial Day Motorcade next Monday! We will have motorcyclists coming from as far away as Claremont and beyond! Thank you Brian!!!!

MEMORIAL DAY MOTORCADE UPDATE:
This event made the Caledonian Record on line yesterday and the print edition today . . AND we have 10 participants ALREADY!!
I will be "escorting" the motorcade, followed by The Sons of the American Revolution vehicle pulling their trailer with multiple flags (this will serve as our lead colors). We will have an entry by the Veterans 2 Veterans from Franconia, The Littleton Historical Society, Joanne's Sweet Breads, and 5 vehicles by community members.
AND . . this is only SO FAR! I expect we will get many more participants. This idea and event has taken off like a rocket! I am so glad to get approval from the area people in doing this.

LITTLETON MEMORIAL DAY MOTORCADE
Many people are very disappointed that Littleton’s traditional Memorial Day Parade/Procession was cancelled for this year due to a variety of circumstances. The Littleton Civic Booster Club, whose main event is the Littleton Christmas Parade, has stepped up to the plate to offer a replacement event for this year, or until the parade/procession returns.
Under the direction of Booster Club President Dennis Hartwell, a motorcade of decorated vehicles will travel from Apthorp Common to the Littleton Fire Station on May 27th beginning at 11am (the normal time of the annual parade). Unlike traditional parades, the streets will not be blocked off, but the motorcade will travel in the right hand lane with the normal flow of traffic. It is anticipated that seeing this procession proceed down Union & Main Streets, most ongoing traffic will allow the procession to continue uninterrupted.
Since the day is a somber one to remember Veterans and Civilians who are no longer with us, all those participating will not be blowing horns or making noise. “Rules of the road” will be followed by each vehicle and traffic lights will have to be obeyed unless a police officer is in the traffic light location to allow all vehicles through. Everyone is invited to participate with their car, truck or unique vehicle. Vehicles will line up in the order to which they arrive. Organizations are asked to have a sign on their entry to identify who they are. Any and all Veterans are also invited to participate.
The lineup will begin at 10:30am on Memorial Day at Apthorp Common on Redington Street and those participating are asked to arrive no later than 10:45am. The motorcade will begin promptly at 11am. If you are interested in being in this motorcade, please call 991-7517 to add your vehicle to the list.
The Littleton Police Department supports this event.
In the absence of this year's Littleton Memorial Day Parade, how many people can I get to decorate their cars (red, white & blue) and do a motorcade through Littleton that Monday?? I would need to know this week so I can get it in the Courier. Thanks!!
Due to popular demand, we are adding Sunday, May 12th to our Oxford Casino Shuttle runs. If you are interested, please get in touch. The cost is $39 pp and I will need at least 3 people to run the shuttle (5 max).
The last Oxford Casino Shuttle will be on Sunday, June 16th. Right now all seats are available. Get in touch if you want to go (will need at least 3 ppl to run shuttle).
We are SO happy to report progress on getting Funtime Travelers back on the road after closure due to COVID 19.
Early in 2020, we had almost every trip (one per month) booked for the entire year. In March 2020, we had to cease operations due to COVID and it resulted in refunds to all customers, making us lose our shirt. Our bank account was dry and I thought "This is the end of Funtime Travelers".
Well, this year we brainstormed and decided to invest in a 7 passenger Dodge Caravan. We began doing shuttle service from Littleton to the Oxford Casino in Maine every other Sunday. The inaugural trip on Feb 11, 2024 was the trial run and we learned that we can only transport 5 passengers comfortably for the 4 hour/round trip. With few exceptions, we have been full every time!
May 5th and May 19th are full. On June 2nd, we have room for 2 more people and on June 16th we are open. Unless we get the demand, we will stop on June 16th and resume in the Fall.
We also have an Akwesasne Casino & Resort overnight trip on June 23-24, 2024. The motorcoach is over half full, but we have room for 20 more. See the attached flyer.
We also just booked a day trip to the Palace Theatre in Manchester on November 24th for "The Nutcracker". This trip will be a fund raiser for the Littleton Christmas Parade.
So for those of you who were concerned, WE ARE BACK UP AND RUNNING!!

We have two seats that have opened up for this Sunday's Oxford Casino Shuttle. Leave a message if interested. $39 pp Leaves at 7:30am in the parking lot behind the theatre in Littleton . . about 5 hours of gaming time at the casino . . back in Littleton around 5:00pm.
